Trouble at the Clover

Firstly i'd like to appolgise to New Owner and in fact any new owner on Condado. The comment 'less select clientel' was not intended to be directed at everyone who have recently purchased a property just making an observation that a property is now more affordable , and that could include  undisireables.Secondly i am nothing to do with Valeros, whilst at first  i thought he was making a bit of sense he has obviously turned out to be an idiot

Back to the 'trouble at the clover' i think you'll find theres a lot more trouble in the Camposol bars. Please excuse my grammer and spelling

Seriously though, glad to see you have back-pedelled and disassociated yourself with Valderama or whatever they call themselves and also explained the errors of your ways slandering new purchasers on Condado. These people are actually very 'savy' because they have bought at the bottom of the market and not the top like us earlier purchasers.

 sorry newowner2- no offense- that was taken off a football chat site- did make me tickle though! just trying to lighten things up. After all the financial and now social trouble in the world a small scuffle between a few spanish and brtiish lads  has turned this site into a laughing stock . must admit i think the world will get worse before it gets better- you only need to read this site - and thats from the supposedly higher echelon of society!

@GeorgeH - No problem, just getting paranoid that every time I looked at this thread the decision to buy was looking more ill advised !

New Owner I think you'll find the majority of owners on this site have a great time at CdA, even if originally we all thought it would be much more.  We know its not perfect but its always sunny and the golf course is open!!

Most of the negative comments come from non-owners....and of course Darren but I think deep down he enjoys every minute on CdA!!

 @SMV - I'm confident that whilst it might not become what was originally intended it will still come on in leaps and bounds over the next few years.  

There does seem to be a bit of momentum building and as galling as it must be to see latecomers such as ourselves buying at a different price hopefully we will be able to help give it a push along by growing the numbers and demand for services.  

There is definitely commercial potential for businesses to open on the site - you only have to look at Saturday's market for that - and hopefully the environment will be put in place for that to happen now with more sensible prices for renting units in Al Kazar etc.

Just to get back on the thread.......lets not avoid the issue here,   There was trouble in the clover, the resort is attracting low-lifes at the minute, the language & general behavior of both Spanish & English youngsters frequenting the place is a disgrace and the parents of these kids need to get a grip. Sitting outside the Clover with a beer or a bottle of wine is normally a pleasant part of our holiday, but last week what was wittnessed on a number of occasions was a very worrying development.  No better than Camposal / Benidorm.  

Security needs to be stepped up & the bar needs proper policing to remove the scum.   (BTW, they were not all scousers as had been reported)

Was there any indication as to whether the louts were residents/owners or renters/visitors?

I always had thought that the one positive about only having one bar (with funny opening hours) was that it would put off the drinking holidaymaker.

You really need to get a life. There is low life all around the UK  and any other country. for that matter  I presume that there is no problems in the holy city of Manchester.

Lets face it . Things will only get better if we avoid  mud slinging and start working together.

Key point is the level of behaviour from both Lads & in particulalr lasses. The language from so called women was unbeliveable, with every second word an F or C. which most of us do not want to hear - particulalry in fornt of much smaller children etc

SMV......not sure about your question, but I don't think there is much renting going on, & the louts were definatley residents, as it was over a number of nights, not just one.

Accents are unique around the UK from the Brummies, Geordies, Cockneys,. etc

I do not seee any refereance to "Not all Mancs", "Not all Cockneys" etc Why because you want to tar all scourses with the same brush.

Key point is agreed. A certain behavioural standard is required by all.  That includes all of the above

agree Smivs, one bit of trouble in 3 years is not a massive problem but is still obviously one too much.

I am sure once the clover has new management and the sportsbar is open things will change for the better.
