Hi
We have just recently purchased on cda and we have had the utilities connected by Iberdrola however we no longer have any electric!! We were told the connection was successful but we are still without electric and are waiting for the electician to revisit.
Has anybody else experienced this or has anybody any idea what the problem could be?
Thanks

possibly your Bank account details are not correct quite often if we write down numbers they are copied wrong especially he digit 7 often taken as a digit 1 (common problem) the Spanish use a line across the tail of the 7. even the postman reads the address wrong.
Goe to the Iberdrola office which is within an Electrical shop in Puerto Mazzarron, drive past Lidl, Barclays and down hill pass Bus Station and Market on thre right then you reach a junction Shoe shop on left and the Electric shop is on the right. lady there speaks a little english she may be able to help.
But from Experience dont expect to get connected straight away others who were disconnected waited 1 - 2 weeks to get re-connected. and that was before August! anyway hope you can get it sorted.

We were without electric for 5 days, it was dreadful and so hard to find the right contact who could speak english, There was no help offered by the electricity company even though we explained we had a young child who needed warm food and drink, we were told we had to wait. It was our fault as we did not pay by direct debit but when we were billed, NOW we pay through the bank by direct debit.
NEVER AGAIN

Hi
We only completed a couple of weeks ago and the solicitor has set up our direct debit, we have checked our bank account number on the contract and they match!!
Unfortunately we are still in the UK so we cant go to their office they are meant to be sending an electrician out to check meter etc again!
We have been without electric now for over a week and they seem in no hurry to sort it, we have told them that we have flights booked to come out soon and we have a baby and a young son but it hasn't made any difference! Not the best start we have had!

Iddydiddy, it is so helpful to speak the language we must have spent a small fortune in mobile charges in the attempt to find an english speaking contact and ti find the right electricity office. We went to Totana initially and there was no help given.
Just make sure you use your bank wisely to pay for the services and that you ensure you have the correct amount of money in your account to cover your bills.
We found a girl Emma in the Santana bank in Campersol who is so helpful and if you have a problem you can email her from the UK.
Good luck and once you have everything organised I`m sure you will look forward to your visits in the future, our family love it there and the complex is extremely well organised and so safe for youngsters to play.

Electricity and Water companie stake money from your bank if there funds are not there you get cut off! so it is a must to keep ample funds in your Spanish bank and dont forget your Community charge plus bank charges.

Hello,
We too had a problem getting our electric connected. We completed our purchase in June and our solicitor arranged for the utilities to be connected. When someone from Iberdrola came to connect they said there was a problem and left. We contacted our solicitor to find out what the problem was as he had arranged connections for us. We eventually found out that there were fuses missing from our electric box. Our solicitor arranged for a local electrician to come out to replace the fuses after which Iberdrola came back to make connection. This all seemed to take an age and it was touch and go whether we had electric on time for our first holiday at our apartment. We also had to meet the extra cost for the electrician. We complained to Polaris World who claimed someone must have removed fuses as they would have been fitted. The electric boxes are kept locked so how they can claim someone removed them I don't know.
PS. We did get our electric connected in time and we had a wonderful time at Condado. We did not want to leave and cannot wait to return. I am sure you will not regret your purchase. Good luck !

We also had the same problem with our electricity. No fuses in the box but this been sorted. Unfortunately we have not been able to make it out to Condado this year due to personal issues but I understand from our keyholder that we are still without water despite our solicitors being told by Urbasar that it is connected. I have a telephone number to ring but wondered if anyone knew of an email address where I could contact them because I'm not sure if anyone speaks English there.

I sent an email to agarridon@urbaser.com but got a bounce back saying that the email address did not exist. Have sent an email to their general email address but surprise, surprise, no answer.
