Gardens

After having thousands spent on them the gardens now  look worse than before work started.

Back in February I sat and watched the gardeners dig up the whole area including digging up 3 or 4 cables and pipes just in the bit outside our apartment, who knows how many they went through in total. We have just returned from Roda only to find that the very lights and sprinklers where they were digging are now not working this probably being one of the reasons that the grass isnt growing in these areas. Its a digrace that they have got it so wrong but what is more of a concern is who is going to pay to put it right and what sort of mess are we going to have to put up with again. We rent our property out and now dont know what the place is going to look like for anyone booking in the future as we had no notice of when the last work was about to start and that it was going to look like a building site. As owners should we not be kept informed of such major upheavals.

Not long back from Roda myself.  The gardens on P12 where completly roped off for most of our time there.  This meant that the main sunbathing area could not be used.  I was also there in February when they reseeded the gardens and have heard that after this there was very heavy rain that washed soil & seed away.  I understand this but why wait until the height of the holiday season in July to start reseeding!  Is this the proper time to plant grass in Spain?  At home the proper time would be Spring.  Once the ropes where taken down the area was used by everyone again but this was not giving the new grass time to establish and worst still the gardeners where mowing this new grass even when it was roped off! 

I also noticed that a lot of the lights where no longer working, both in green areas and around the pool.  At night parts of the gardens where very dark.

I realise it is a little late but just to say I have posted an update from the last gardening meeting at the end of July with reasons why work is currently on hold on the meetings thread of P12 website.

The current VP attended a number of meetings as can be seen and has provided an insight on progress or lack of, at least a little more info than the current President supplies.

Have been reading up on gardens. Nice having up-to-date info.  Makes you feel involved knowing what's going on.

No Phase1 website as far as I know.  Maybe someone knows different and can help. 

Definitely no website for Phase 1.

Suggest it to your[president - I will happily build one (I am the webmaster for Phase 2)

Hi - just to say there is a closed board (Roda owners only) on Murcia Golf.  I know we will be very happy just to set up another closed board for Roda Phase 1 owners only.  We have closed boards for Corvera owners already for their private use.    I can guarantee this is policed so that only appropriate people are allowed to enter and view and participate. We would offer Pommers the moderator role if she wanted that.
