WI-FI IN APARTMENT

I ALREADY HAVE DIGI BOX AND TV FROM POLARIS WORLD. I WANT TO BRING IPAD TO SITE AND ALL I NEED IN THE APARTMENT IS WI-FI TO ACCESS INTERNET.

I HAVE GOT INFORMATION FROM AZ TELECOMMUNICATIONS REGARD PHONE,TV,WIFI. BEING FITTED AND COST

I AM A BIT OF A TECHNO RETARD IN THESE MATTERS, IS THE WAY TO GO WITH AZ OR SOMEONE ELSE TO SUPPLY WIFI,

CAN ANYONE HELP. 

I NEED PRICES ETC TO COMPARE. I VISIT CONDADO 6 TIMES YEAR A WEEK AT A TIME

Hi Bill

We just got the wifi modem installed by A2Z and it works fantastic. You get a  2MEG download and it's abpout 65 euros a year. The Wifi Modem cost around 155 euros and they install it in the little cupboard in the centre of the apartment where all the cables come in. 

They will leave you all the product information and the log in details if you need to let your keyholder let them in to carry out the installation.

Your I-pad will pick up the wifi signal as soon you enter the apartment. 

Make sure you get the log in details left for you in agreed secure place.

The cheapest way is to get the basic cable modem from A2Z ( €77 ) then add a seperate Wifi router ( €50 ) so €127 all in, contact me for the Wifi router.

If you have an IPad then use wifi in the apartment, if you want 3G whilct out and about then MasMobile is the cheapest way to go, again contact me for a SIM card.

A2Z is our best and only realistic option for internet at the moment and the fact we have this option now, is down to the persistence of some of our Presidents and the hard work of our Administrator. So thank you to them.

As well as A2Z  I have been using the mas movil sim from Phil as well. We have galaxy tab and galaxy ace so when in a 3g area we can use the inernet bundle. Mas Movil even lets you use your tab and phone on skype when in 3 g area. . So have been able to use skype subscription when out and about. We can even skype each other on mobiles and home   It is such a world away from when we first came here and dangled usless dongles

 Again the A2Z is prob fitted in cupboard and reducing rang mine fitted by Phil works up to 4 apartments away. I would always recomend Phil T to sort out tech issues. He has saved my bacon on a number of occasions

 the routers are the same but phil is cheaper srvice better and if it goes wrong fixed quicker
