I had a conversation with MRI today - it has taken all of 8 weeks for them to reply to my zillions of emails - I had queried a couple of things coming up on this website

air conditioning - though pre-installed we will have to pay for the installation of the units & this is apparently normal in Spain though I have no clue as to how much that will be

quality - MRI insist that the workstop size + quality are as high as Roda but different due to the rustic ambience of Coevera but i am not fully convinced of that!

work - as we know this is delayed by the granting of permits from the town hall but they have permits to start on the ground and I was sent some pictures showing a JCB at work on the site - evently this is not a normal delay but did happen with Roda for the same length of time

really , the information i got from MRI is just what we probably know already so we just need to sit tight and pictures of roda are looking great so we will wait with anticapation on our site getting cracking

We just bought in Corvera before Christmas with MRI. Not much done so far in Corvera but a lot of new trees are beside the showroom which seem to show that something is about to be done.

I've looked at the "rental" link on the MRI website to see if we can rent Roda (or somewhere similar) next year for a week or so, to get a feel for the area before Corvera is completed, but the rental link just sends us to new properties for sale.

If anyone has any good Costa Calida websites for renting it would be appreciated (and/or can explain the MRI problem).

Hi Frank, we're also buying on Corvera and have just rented an apartment through www.spain-holiday.com to go over and have a look at progress in May.  You could also join the Roda message board on this website as there are Roda owners who have now moved in and are renting out their apartment.

One thing I've noticed is the rates per week seem to be a lot less than we were advised we'd probably get per week when letting our own place when it's ready.

Hi Frank, I think you will find that the rates are a lot lower as the development is still under construction.  I don't think you will get a 'decent' rate until comletion of the whole development.

To somewhat follow up what I said earlier about renting. Although this won't be an issue for us until late next year, is it better to rent out your own properties through MRI (or similar) or though the type of sites mentioned below.

I have just finished sorting out my apartment at Roda so if anyone wants details on renting, please pm me.  We are on Phase 1 and we think it is great.
