Beau, don't let the big numbers intimidate you. As we are a private community, I agree we should not publish our accounts but I do think ML should make it as easy as possible for all owners to have visibility, so treat us like adults and send them to us.

Beau, accounts are no big deal, all reputable companies are quite happy to put theirs in the public domain, and guess what, they even send them to their shareholders - ooooooooohhhhhh, how dare they !

Thanks for your kind thoughts Jeb but numbers don't intimidate me they just bore the pants off me, thats why i pay a bookkeeper and accountant each to their own i suppose, but if you don't know what you're looking for how do you know what it is when you find it ? Like i say i doubt many will properly understand the accounts and even less will be bothering to view them,   ML have had nothing but stick off a few, unfairly i believe,   one mentioning brown envelopes and secret handshakes because of rumours , they;ve made the accounts available but it;s still not good enough. Just a thought but have you asked ML if they could possibly send them to you or are you nit picking  because you think you have a right ? I said on a previous thread if we are that bothered why don't we pay someone independant to oversee the accounts . Also if we we're all e-mailed would that not possibly lead to misinterpretation by some and then lead to more accusations and scaremongering by those with nothing better to do ? full circle really.

I agree WW every thread where bluevelvet appears just gets ruined although bluevelvet now appears to be very 'English' where on previous threads tried to make out was Spanish!!  strange that....

We all have our own opinions, it wouldn't do if we were all the same!!  What has been produced is absolutely 'nothing' to be quite honest will need to study the accounts personally before I am satisfied and can't understand why others don't think that way but each to their own as they say

Buy yourself a ticket and go an "study" the accounts. go through them with a fine tooth-comb and then tell us your findings. You never know if you look hard enough you might discover a new continent, we could do with a new one, the world is falling apart!!!!

Every one has been asking for detailed accounts this is were this all started.

A summary gives you totals but not what each item was spent on.

for example repairs for each garden has a total

But we do not know on what, did fixing one light cost us 20 euros or 2000 we do not know

you need a breakdown to know that its honest thats what transparent detailed accounts are and all communities except ours produce them why not.

As for big numbers every person has the right to view and if companies like BP etc can publish why cant we their should be nothing to hide.

Most other communities publish detailed account so owners abroad can study them you cannot do this in a office in a couple of hours.

Hey Condado Hope, you seem to know already about the level of detail in the accounts, I assume you've been to see them then, yeah?

One thing that seems to have been missed here, we all should be able to view the accounts by private owners email or to go into the office and view them, they are ML accounts they are our accounts, it is OUR MONEY  they are spending, hopefully on our resorts, I am sure that everyone out there just doesn't hand out money for work without getting quotes and getting best value for money, some of us would like to sit at home and have a look through how my money is being spent on my resort. Its should be our personal choice if we want to see them, so don't slag people off who would like to look at them, if you are happy to pay out money and not know how it is spent thats up to you, but if the resort starts getting into any financial difficulty, or someone gets accused of fraud don't moan just carry on giving them youe money.
