Problems sending money to account originally with CAM Bank

My monthly money transfer from the UK into my account originally with CAM Bank has not gone through. With the account now transferred to SabadellCAM it now has a new IBAN. My direct debits are OK, last transaction being from the water company.

Anybody else having this problem and was it easy getting the money returned to the UK or transferred into their Spanish account?

Got this problem too.

Now changed my IBAN with Moneycorp but currently got over €700 'missing'.

Have contacted Moneycorp who say they need Sabadell to return the funds so they can make the payment again.

Spoke to Sabadell on phone but got nowhere, so have emailed them a complaint.

Moneycorp say they have had nothing but trouble with payments for their CAM bank clients.  Sabadell gave no notice of need to change IBAN numbers.

Waiting for Sabadell to respond to my email.

Money Corp indicated to me this morning that it could take a while to sort out! I used Sabadell online chat facility and the operator said there was no need to change anything and then another operator told me I should have used my new IBAN. How was I supposed to know that if they didn't bother telling me! After that the operator said I needed to phone them for security reasons and then promptly finished the chat session. Instead of phoning I've sent an email this morning to Sabadell requesting for them to find the money and transfer it into my account. I'll keep you posted on their response.

It's Spain so will no doubt take a lot of pain and time to sort.

Clearly Sabadell will be getting a lot of phone calls and emails from Cam Bank clients.

I got a letter from Sabadell when they took over from Cam explainingthat i had to do certain things to be able to use my internet banking and in very small text on the bottom right hand corner it gave the new IBAN and BIC codes and also more importantly my new account number maybe you should check you now are using the correct one as i only noticed it by chance!

Not sure if I can help here, but when I got my new bank details i.e. branch and account numbers, and IBAN number from Sabadell, they also gave me a new BIC Code.  I haven't transferred any money to my account in Spain so can't comment by experience, but it might be worth making your exchange companies aware of this BIC Code if you already haven't.  I believe HiFX use ask for this code to make a transfer.

I changed this morning my account details with Money Corp so all new transactions should be OK. I got my new internet banking codes from Sabadell a little while ago and transferred money using my old IBAN into my Spanish account successfully in December which I'm sure was after setting up my new online access codes.

I didn't notice the new account number until the other day, I thought I had been using a new method of online access to my old account not realising the account numbers had changed. I wish I paid more attention now!!!

I transferred money to my new Sabadell account details late December using a same day service, the money took 4 days to be credited to my account. When I called Sabadell to query it they suggested a technical error? But couldn't say what.

I received a letter last November to my UK address advising of my new account no: and IBAN, and used these for the above transaction. I'm about to make another same day transfer, will update the forum if successful.

Money Corp received the money back from Sabadell today and are sending it using my correct IBAN tomorrow. Surprised and please that Sabadell responded so quick to Money Corps request.

Spoke to Moneycorp today and they have recalled the funds from Sabadell (not sure why they didn't do this to start with).

Should hopefully be resolved quickly now.

Have today transferred using same day sevice monies to my Sabadell account - using new IBAN ect details - with CAM the money was always in the accout sameday.....given my experience last month I'm not convinced this will be the case again this month.

Lets wait and see........... Hoping the exchange rate inproves........1.16 euro on exchange is awful!

My problem has been resolved too.  Moneycorp recalled the funds and then paid into Sabadell account with new IBAN.

My regular payment with Moneycorp has always taken 3-4 days to be deposited in my Spanish account.  Might be the service I have chosen i.e. not a same day service.

The sameday service is through HALO financial - you pay a small fee but worth it when you've left the transfer late. Also found out today that Sabadell have an office in London - you can pay money in here also - but they do charge a fee,

We too use Moneycorp as we find them the best all round. You are right you can pay £15 for same day service or less for a 3/4 day service. The advantage with them, not sure about other Companies, is you can buy your Euros up to 2 years in advance & pay for them monthly etc.

I never changed any of my account details on my currencyfair account and the money appears in my Sabadell account right away.

Only £3 quid for the transfer too!

www.currencyfair.com they always give the best rates and have the lowest transfer fees. I use the market place, you choose the rate you want.

It's pier to pier, like betfair or zopa. So u are exchanging currency with other people throughout the world, so no banks are making a profit from you!

My god I sound like a salesman for them!
