Satellite dish rules?

All,
What are the community rules, if any, regarding putting satellite dishes up? Reason being it is now impossible to watch any A2Z satellite TV program's without the picture reloading every 30 seconds!

Any ideas?

A2Zis absolutely useless!, I believe that dishes are a no no but the majority seem to be at it!! We need dishes..will be interesting to hear the official ruling!!

This subject has been brought up on EOS before and ended in Anarchy.

officially dishes are not allowed on the resort. in practise they are as long as they are not mounted in clear view. I.e thay can be installed on the terrance as long as they are hidden from view.

I have no problem with reception or channels breaking up. as I have suggested before this could be a local problem to your apartment or equipment. have you reported it to a2z? or had your signal checked?

tge community have a contract with a2z for tv and internet if you have a problem contact them to get it checked, thats much easier and cheaper than gking to the expense of considering installing a dish that will cost you a fair bit of expense and isnt really needed

We have A2Z coming out on Monday but we are not holding up much hope! We have repeatedly tried to get them to answer us about the other locked channels without success. Like say Nickelodean, etc etc. it is currently not fit for purpose as channel 4, E4 and others are permanently frozen.

 As i have already posted on EOS the "locked" channels are subscription channels to which you would need a subscription with the broadcaster in the county on origin and a viewing card to fit you box. A2Z cannot just decrypt there channels for you, you have to go to the broadcaster.  Nickelodean is not even a english channel so would you really want it?    I, and many other owners, do not have problem with "freezing" channels this sound to me lke a local probem so see what happens on Monday.

 I have just returned and had agood tv reception all week, the only channel that didn't work was channel 4, but c4+1 worked fine, probably needs a retune, you must have alocal problem, i'm sure they can sort it out.There are dishes everywhere, and i suspect mainly Spanish tv.

Literally just recorded 3 minutes of channel 5 on my iPad and we lost the picture 31 times which equates to once every 6 seconds. Whoever suggested getting this pile of sh4 installed on CDA needs to feel some pain, me thinks !!, 😡 👎 😡

Are you trying to view TV over the internet? (IPAD) If you are it wont work very well even if you can get it due to the Spanish IP address, as the internet download speed (2MB) is no way near fast enough for TV - especially HD.

If it is the TV connection, sounds like your equipment is duff or your connection in the white box in your apartment is loose - I had that problem. A2Z have always been very good when I have had issues and the service, e.g number of channels is more than enough.

If you are thinking of a satellite system, you need a very big dish to get SKY TV and unless you have access to a roof top location, those dishes (2 meter) are way too big for a balcony or front of an apartment and would stimulate complaints and would be removed. The small dishes that you will see around are for Spanish TV and are less intrusive - still should not be there though. JF

 Why would you want to watch C5 over the internet?  This channel can be received on your TV.  You have been complaining about the TV receiption for the past month how you say your watching on an iPad!!!!!!  I assume you have a digi box as you also complained about the locked channels, so watch C5 on that.    You say A2Z are coming to you this week, lets hope they sort out you TV issues.

We are trying to watch it on the decoder supplied by A2Z but what we were saying was that we had recorded the problems on an iPad (video). We cannot watch this on an iPad, which we know. The system and equipment is totally not fit for purpose.

The system is fine, I and many other owners have been using it ok for years.

If you have a local problem, do what we have been saying for months and get A2Z to sort it.  Simples. :-)
