In the middle of summer it would probably be very difficult to sleep in a room without aircon. If you are a permanent resident then perhaps you would get used to the heat but it really is warm at times and pretty uncomfortable. One of the full time residents can probably offer advice too?

You will need it all year round - to cool off in the Summer and to warm the place up in the winter. Remember, you are living in a concrete box with no carpets and when unoccupied in the winter months, takes a good 24 hours to get back up to a decent temperature during a col period.
Don't skimp on the system either, it will cost you in the long term if you do. JF

I have not long had mine installed by Apolloair. Great service. I have a three bed any they recommended one 1200 Invertor unit for the living room (this used to cool/heat the small front facing bedroom also) and a 900 unit for each bedroom. I'll see how that goes over the summer but it would appear to be the norm.

If you are oing to be using your place in the summer I would recommend nuts in each room as it will be uncomfortable. We have a 3 bed and have a unit in the lounge and all 3 bedrooms and its lovely and cool in the hot month and you get a great cool nights sleep. We used climazone and were very happy with them all installation done while we were not there. Eay to dal with all done on e mail and phone. Nice English guy that we delt with ( gone blank on Ho'S name sorry! )

We used appolo air and only had it installed in the 2 bedrooms and left the lounge off for now, and decided to revisit later if we need to. Agree with everybody here that you get a great nights sleep with one in the bedroom and all the windows shut. For now during the day and early evening, we prefer to open the windows and door and let the breeze blow through.
We also went for the better model, as recommended by Steve at Apollo.
