La Isla del Condado

Hi is there anyone who is willing to speak out.We put a deposit of euros 66,700 on BLOCK 7  071 D  , in  2007/8 and have nothing to show for it .Can anyone tell me what has not been built from the original plan ,and have they said what is not getting built.many thanks .Ken hawkins

Hi Ken,
I am unsure of exactly what you mean. Obviously block 7 is built and your apartment is there. We have two pools and I believe the third is being auctioned for. The presidents are trying hard to make the island as it should have been. There is an AGM ( of sorts) on 10th Aug perhaps you should attend and ask?.

I too bought and placed my deposit and now enjoy our apartment. Yes something's are not right but on the shoe it's not that bad?

As per Neil's email I believe that the third pool is very much on the cards now.  Having just returned from 2 weeks on the island and speaking to a number of other owners whilst there - it seems that the block presidents are indicating that this will happen.

We do not have our own social club/bar as originally intended but there is a social area that has been constructed with free wifi, various games, drinks machines, outdoor exercise equipment and also petanque, badminton & table tennis. 

The island does not have piers to allow for boating but once again I believe that this is being proposed for the near future.  

The lake itself is actually 25% larger than it should have been and I seem to recall that there is work scheduled to reduce it down to the correct size which would in turn reduce the ongoing cost of maintaining water levels.

This was my 4th summer visit to La Isla and there were alot more people on La Isla this year compared to previous years.  It was nice to see so many families enjoying themselves on the island which created a great atmosphere.  If occupancy increases again next year then we will definitely need the third pool but there may also be a case for having our own bar !

Fully agree San. It would be nice for the island when  / if it gets the new facilities built opposite block 9 and 10 so the island can get promoted more to help improve some of the surrounding landscaping.

Al Kasar is good but it would be nice to have some facilities that also have a view as well over the lakes to really get things promoted to the maximum.

Condado has so much potential with the surrounding land and it would be great to see the surrounding land on La Isla further landscaped over the next 12 months.

Hi can you tell me if the golf COURSES are built and the floating shopping centre which you get a boat too

At present there is only 1 golf course on CdA.

The 2 courses which should have been built around La Isla have not yet materialised although we've been hearing some promising news that at least 1 will be built.

The floating shopping centre sunk without trace - ala Atlantis - when the recession kicked in.

Boating on the lake seems to be on the cards though.
