We went to the Bulgarian last night and had one of the best meals we have ever had on Condado! We did not have to wait too long. We were served drinks as soon as we sat down. We were beautifully looked after by Ashleigh and all our quirky requests like no sweet corn on the pizza and a main course to be served with the starters were all delivered with no problems. I have been on the forum before to moan about terrible food and horrendous service so I thought it was only right to come on here and congratulate the Bulgarian on a job very well done last night. I think we might even go back there tonight it was so, so good!

We too ate at the Bulgarian last night and had a great meal with excellent service. Then moved to the Clover for the excellent entertainment and a few cocktails. Had a great night with one complaint - I'm a little hungover this morning! Al Kasar is just great this year. Well done to all the businesses...

Good to hear that standards have picked up again. Lets hope this becomes the norm.
On another note, did the French restaurant open up OK - has anyone tried it yet ?

Regards,

Lets hope so! I am still a believer of more competition makes people up their game and this does seem to be happening! Long may it continue!

The French restaurant did open but could not offer a full menu and then a note came out to say they had some problems with water and they would have to close until 19th aug ( what a shame for them the busiest time of the season) but last night they were open so I hope their problems have been sorted nd I wish them well. Perhaps one one who has been already can give a review!

Just need a Chinese/Thai, an Indian and an Italian with pizza delivery and there would be no reason to leave the resort other than a La Caverna fix and a fish fix at the port!

I just hope that the restaurant owners remember that great food and great service with great staff will keep us all coming back time and time again.

Hi Everyone

We got back last week from CDA and visited the bulgarian quite a few times whilst we were over.  Had great service and food was excellent.  Long may it continue.  Also we visited the La Cata and enjoyed, coming over in October so will hopefully try the french restaurant.

Also great nights in the Clover with good entertainment.  Well done to all concerned.

We have been to the French and I would definitely recommend it. Tried to get a table in la catalog for 8 people but would have had to wait an hour. Tried the French and we got a table, albeit inside. Was nice and cool though and drinks order taken and delivered after a short wait. Adults were given a complimentary glass of wine and the kids demolished the complimentary bread. Ordered 3 items for 5e and they were delicious, recommend the ratatouille and the Camembert. Kids had a 2 course and a drink for 6.50 and all had chicken skewers and chips. Clean plates all round with juicy fruit kebabs and cream for dessert. Us adults also chose the skewers but they have steak, pork and veal served with vegetables. Cheese and biscuits x2, a bottle of wine and coffees for 3 and a complimentary glass of cava later, we were all very happy. 118 e with brilliant service and a very friendly family who couldn't do enough for you. They were full outside too so were busy but we didnt have to wait long at all. We will be hopefully visiting again soon! Not eaten in the Bulgarian because have had 2 terrible experiences in there with food and service, so will not give them a go. Others have had long waits with someone waiting 2 hours for a couple of pizzas. La cata is very nice, the lasagne is very good but you are lucky if the waitress is friendly and attentive! Big G's has gone down very well with our family. Kids love the different food and it is nice to eat a proper burger on site! A bit long winded but you have to try the French!

Thanks for the update on the French restaurant - so good to hear!

The reason for my post was that we had such a lovely evening there it's definitely worth trying again. We've had a couple of bad experiences there but this trip I have to say that they really do seen to have got their act together and are worthy of another visit.

We just missed the opening of the French restaurant but will certainly give it a go in October. The Bulgarian is fine but in July
/ August on the weekend it does seem to get overwhelmed by the sheer numbers and you can wait a while for drinks to be served. The staff do their best but sometimes the service is slow.
