La Cata

We visited La Cata why we were out in August had some lovely meals. Some times waited for food but what is the hurry we were on holiday just chilling.

Unfortunately we had an absolutely dreadful meal when we came out at the end of August. It wasn't just the food but the truly disgusting service by the girl serving us. She slammed our food on the table, forgot my mum's drink which we had to remind her twice before she actually got it. On top of that the food was stone cold and when we finally got her attention she rolled her eyes and huffed. Obviously she had a bad day lol! The food was mediocre at best and it put us off going back for the rest of the time we were out. However, we will try again when we come back next year, and hopefully this was just a one off, but as it was my Mum's first visit without Dad who we lost in May obviously it was a disappointing start to our holiday. We ate at the Bulgarian twice and Big G's once and both times the food and the service was excellent.

yeo, the ice cream parlor has closed for a week or so an i've heard that la cata is closing for a few months.  I thought that their leases stated that they should remain open all year?  Guess i must be wrong?

the ice cream parlor is onlt shut for a week, opens again next week, so all ok for half term.  No idea if/when La Cata is closing, just what I'd heard.

Was out with the boys golfing last weekend and every night we had a drink at la cata we were told it ws shutting tomorrow, but is still open.

Just read on the condado services website that La Cata are closing for two months from 15th December until 15th February next year; not sure how accurate that is, but it seems to me to be a funny time, especially with Christmas and New Years Eve parties, so will have to wait and see.

We ate there last week, another lovely meal. Seafood paella is excellent

They were very busy but we werent kept waiting too long, drinks served relatively quickly and overall an acceptable length of time for a chilled out evening meal in Spain

Tried the French and were disappointed. Ate off the evening set menu which was good value but the 2 main courses were poor - little more than bland chicken and chips.

Always the best food in La Cata. The rumours are true, it will be closing 15th dec - 15th Feb, unfortunately. I know the waiters there and they informed me of the plans a couple of weeks back.
