Solar panels

Has anyone bought a property that has a solar panel installed by Polaris? We have them on La Isla, Terrazas de la Torre, and would like to hear of other's experiences.

Sorry, does that mean you do have one? It depends on when the plans were passed  ( not the actaul build) before or after the law changed and all new plans  have had to have  them since.

La Isla on CdA has solar panels for hot water heating. Presume plans were passed after the law on solar heating came into force. We have found that in the summer period that it can provide enough hot water for two people but doubt whether it would cope with higher occupancy or during the winter months.

I don't kniw about the new rules on solar panels.  Can someone explain?

No No No, you must have had a bad dream, that is the most stupid thing I've heard in a long time and I have teenage kids so I hear lots of stupid things!!!

I put two huge panels up at our farm house in Worcestershire.  I did it when I renewed my 22 year old boiler. The copper hot water tank was just leaking a little too so I went for an HE super duper 3 way tank, gas (from the new condensing boiler) electric and solar.  I reckon it's great in principle but no matter how much they spout, the "Engineers" do not understand this system and as it is it'll take about 20 years to pay for itself.  In Spain I'd say 10. To add tax onto it is environmental vandalism.  Government employees are now just basically mugging people to pay their over inflated wages and pensions. Instead of taxes taxes taxes they should all stand around in a circle with baseball bats and club each other to death, then taxes could be 5% or so which any group of small business people could run a country succcesfully with.  I had a most distressing meeting with the Chief of one of the UK's biggest Borough's last week and the woman was as thick as the proverbial - genuinely thick with not an inkling of business sense - my 5 year old grandson is cleverer.  I feel like the guy out of Dad's Army. "We're doomed, we're all doomed". You have to laugh to stay sane.

How on earth does government policy in another counrty compare to pay and pensions in local government workers. Are you related to George Osbourne. Worth remembering all the problems we face today were caused by greed from the banking sector. If the spanish government impose another stupid tax its down to the people to decide come the next election

TO ANDY CLARKE.  Andy, what r u on about?  Of course the pay; holidays; pre-booked sick days and massive pension benefits of Spanish local government workers is well known.  Therefore anyone with an IQ over 50 and a basic knowledge of high school level economics can work out that there is only way to pay for those benefits.  The basic policy is commonly known as Tax and Spend - TAX and spend.  And that's before we get onto nepotism and innefficeincy. Comprende? If you think taxing a green power source somehow justifiable you either "work" in local goverment yourself (and that is obviously a euphemism in this instance) or maybe you have an interest in fossil fuel use or are somehow genuinely unaware of how countries (Government and society) work. If you want a lesson in how the "banking sector" fed upon the greed and ignorance of the masses then I'll send you that separately and I can also send you dossiers on how ignorant local authority workers in both Spain and the UK have lost rate payers hard earned money through lazy investments through inept and "bound to fail" banks from the Isle of Man to iceland and from Miami to Moldova and I can go back on that nearly 300 years. Yes some of Gordon Brown's old mates got knighted and made millions when they should be in jail but that's just part of the story.  Now back to those solar panels - sounds to me like another bonus to the black economy---think about that one.
