I think all the information you need is in the below posts.

Movistar via landline, so dependable, maybe up to 10 Mb but expensive as you need a years contract inc phone.

or Teleast via microwave satellite internet up to 6mb but subject to fluctuations, different packages listed below.

For me Movistar may present better choice if you need reliable speeds etc. but others will disagree.

no other real choices for now.

I have had a 3mb internet connection with Teleast for many years. It is fast enough and has never once let me down.Be warned though -someone cut the wires and stole the antenna off my solarium.Paying another €50 euros did not go down well but the new antenna is firmly attached.

My whole package with Teleast-landline with free international calls, television and the internet is €53 a month

Originally I was with Movistar. It was expensive and they were particularly difficult to deal with, whereas Teleast is just down the road

A matter of choice really

Unbelievable Jenny, you sure it wasn't the engineer selling you back your own antennae.

They are not easy to access, that's a determined thief.

You are right about choice, long discussions today in clubhouse for and against both providers.

yes Telefonica used to be very pricey which is why many of us moved but currently the  Movistar brand is offering very good deals such as phone, 8mb internet plus TV for around  40euros..

So well worth checking out the current market it is changing all the time.

of course reliability and service are also an issue to consider.

Coming out Sunday for 11 days, so no doubt will be in clubhouse Monday night haha, cannot wait to move out permantly in September . I work for a travel company so fast Internet speeds are essential but will be checking all out on Monday .

Yes Hugh Man -I think you may be right about the engineer but I couldnt say anything when I wasnt sure. These engineers are self employed and my second antenna certainly wasnt new.Makes you wonder doesnt it?
