Hi Joe1
The map showing the proposed positioning of the runway (on the Corvera Message boards) does indicate that the flight path will be over the resort - but I would assume it will not be an issue as the Db levels indicated are very low. I guess the planes will be fairly high by the time they get to the resort.

Hi gang. The Murcian local goverment has agreed to rotate the proposed runway well away from HDA. At no stage will an overfly be a problem. The new airport will begin to take flights in 2010 and should really be seen as a total bonus to all owners on HDA. Certainly the whole area around Murcia will open up to the the world as it is an international airport. The plans most people have seen are many years old! Well before the new plans came out Happy Landings! This message was last edited by citizens on 8/3/2007.

Hi Citizens
Can I ask where you have obtained this latest info from. If the plans are old are there any new published?- they should be available to view as the go ahead has been granted.

Hi Pwilson
The local Spanish press have spoken about it but I thik I am right in saying no new plans have been posted on the www yet. One thing is for sure though, even if they wanted to years back, they can´t over fly certain populated area´s and HDA is just one of them. The locals in the area are very pleased on the new announcements (so they know the facts).

Hi Citizens
I did hear that the runway for the new Corvera airport would have an adverse effect on noise at HDA as it was intending to fly directly over it and is only 3.5kms away so the noise levels could be horrendous the origonal plans clearly state this. I believe HDA are fighting this in court at the moment and expect to win although it is a developer against a decision taken by goverment. Will HDA guarantee in there contracts that it will not effect this really nice development. If they did write it in the contract a lot of people will feel a lot happier

Did anyone attend the recent Founders Day golf w/e and the opening of the new golf club? (which looks fantastic by the way - well worth a revisit if only to see the club house). Talk at the evening dinner tables is the HDA have recieved an official letter from the European courts in Brussels upholding the fact that nothing is or will be allowed to fly over or near their developement and near by villages? What does this mean? I for one can stop worrying now about what will or will not happen and my Oasis Village and my phase 1 property properties wont be effected. Phew eh!

You say talk was that they have recieved a letter from the courts stating that nothing will fly over or be close enough to cause noise pollution. If it is true why are HDA not shouting from the tree tops as it could be a massive problem should it stay in it's origonal position. It would put a lot of peoples mind's at rest for us to see it written somewhere by HDA guaranteeing this great news that was muted at the dinner.

Hello.
As I do not have any direct input with any of the HDA management I cannot say what is planned. Its my guess they will say what thye have to say when the time is right. At least I am no longer worried. Are you an owner at HDA? Do you know something no one else knows? I´d be interested to know more from you?.

Hi
Have just purchased apartment in El Oasis. Tim Linnington assured me that they had just received confirmation that the appeal regarding the runway had been successful, when we were in the resort 2 weeks ago. Also confirmed that the motorcycle track is in process of being moved.
