Sorry nowhere local that I know of I'm afraid, the nearest place is Murcia and you have to be a registered trade customer.

It is possibly cheaper to get the boiler put on contract with Novacar for €81 a year and then they will check the boiler, replace the thermostat and only charge you for parts

If you know the part number you can order direct from Roca - and I don't think you have to be a trade customer.

I'm not sure Inspectahome is totallly right about the Roca contract. As I understand it, they won't take you on if the boiler is not in a fully functional condition. You will have to pay them to repair the boiler before they will let you sign a contract.

That's certainly what we had to do for our friends a couple of years ago whose boiler had stopped worked. We had to pay them to repair it before we signed a contract with them. They didn't charge us any call out charge - just the parts and labour, although it had been agreed on the phone beforehand that we would like to do a contract. They suggested to us that they would fix it without a call out charge provided we did a contract there and then.

We personally have been on contract with then now for 5 years and they are pretty good. We had a problem whilst a guest was there and we just called them out, they came within 2 hours to fix it and we paid for the parts by card over the phone from home once it was fully working again.

The girl in the office speaks pretty good English although it's a bit hit & miss with the engineers.
Some speak English, some don't!

What we normally do it call them out to take out a contract, not for repairs and then they check and repair the boiler and put it on contract

It really dpends a lot of the engineer who visits but because they know me well it is never a problem, they are happy to have the contracts as normally there boilers are pretty reliable

The girl in the office is Lola and yes they priortise contract calls and I have even got them out late at night and at weekends, no addition charges on Saturday but a charge for Sundays but no cover Bank Holidays

Manola is the enginerr who speaks some English

I wanted to advise all regarding our Roca boiler.  We've just returned from Roda - had a great time as usual, but on Monday morning we had no hot water.  I rang Roca and spoke to someone who spoke English, they said an engineer would come out between 12 and 2pm.  Good enough, the engineer arrived at 1.50.  He couldn't speak English, but he carried on with finding the fault.  It turned out we needed a whole new control panel, where all the controls are at the front.   He had a spare in his van, so after fixing it, he wrote out the detailed invoice, and the bill came to €355!  So I got a bit of shock.  I didn't have this amount on me, and I asked it I could ring up and pay over the phone.  He said no, so in the end, I had to go to the cash machine with him (in his van) and draw the money out!  I had no car, but thankfully he dropped me back!  Bizarre really, but I was just glad to have hot water!  Wondered if anyone has had their control panel break down?

Thanks, D

Got to say, you have paid full retail price for the PCB...They do go wrong but it is not a "regular" problem.  Probably 1 in 500- require a new PCB.. guess you were just unlucky. The Roca boilers fitted on the resorts are either a Roca Victoria 20/20 F or a Roca Neobit 24/24 F.. Both generate a fault code which shows up as a series of lights, normally a red light at the bottom and then two or more green temperature lights which indicate the fault. When the PBC goes wrong,, you can end up with a series of fault codes,, that make no sence.. there is no specific fault code for a faulty PCB.. if the engineer has just changed the PCB without carrying out more checks, I would hazard a guess that the fault code was a simple one which could be re-set and the engineer has re-set this and fitted a PCB anyway.. it also sounds a littke strange about collecting the oayment in cash there and then...Think I would query this. I take it you got a proper factura ?

We are on Phase 2 and have a Roca Victoria and our control panel failed last year. Cost about €250 and yes we had to pay in cash too - it is the norm when yu have any service or repair done. But they alwasy provide detailed invoice.

We'd had problems though with the boiler for ages and they'd tried a lot of other things to sort it out - all to no avail - and this was the last resort.
