Information for those residents who need to renew their Padron in the future.You now have to pay €3 for it, where previously it was free.
To avoid you getting extremely frustrated with the system heres what you do now.
First go to the town hall office(dont know what its called),a few doors down to the right of Post office in San Javier square(where you sort out your I.B.I tax).Take your old padron.They will give you a Documento de Ingreso(looks like your car tax bill) which you take to any of the banks named on it and pay your €3.
Once you have paid the fee then go into the main Ayuntamiento with the receipt for the €3 and your old padron and wait in a queue to the left of the reception desk on the ground floor.
Do not go into the main big office first,queue for ages only to be told to go and pay a fee somewhere else as I did.
