As a few of us have commented before AEA have not been very forthcoming with any form of response to phone calls or emails. Well it must be my birthday because today i received emails back in response to my complaints. I will cut and paste their responses here to enquiries about minutes of last meeting, visibility of accounts, lack of cleaning, emergancy telephone numbers.

Dear Mr. Cox,
RE: MEETING INFORMATION.  These are scheduled to be posted on web site next 25.04.07
(you got a summary from me the very next day via email)
RE: EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBERS.  The emergency telephone number was distributed to all owners under their front doors.
RE: MEETING. Like yourself we have not been made privy by the President of any set date.

The accounts form part of the meeting information to be posted, I do not have this stored in my pc otherwise I would have forwarded to you.
Emergency number:  661210438
Earlier this month  we complained to the cleaning co. the poor service they currently giving and were cautioned that if no improvement was made they would be substituted by another co
I will be trying to meet with Gerardo, our president next week whilst over.

I have just sent AEA an email asking for copies of budgets completed, anticipated budget for next year, copy accounts, explanations about pools, security, etc.  I don't know about anybody else, but we received absolutely NOTHING from AEA upon completion, save for the community charge invoice (forwarded by our solicitor as we had said not to sign a direct debit for them and wanted to be invoiced by email).  And despite them having our full email/postal details and my asking for confirmation that the funds transfer to their account had been received, we still didn't even get a response!!

When we were there early in the month, we really didn't have time to chase them up, especially in view of the fact it was easter.  But how on earth can  you access the DV community on their website if you don't have the access password details?

We also weren't advised of the "informal" meeting on 2nd March even though we completed on 6th February - ok, so we couldn't have made it to Spain then, but the fact is we weren't advised!

Anyway, shall let you know what response, if any, we receive!

On another point, we didn't see any security guard at all whilst we were there, save for the builders' watchman at the entrance to the site - who clearly isn't contracted by AEA on our behalf, but by the builders on their behalf.  Has anyone seen the security staff there?

(I'm just now getting down to all the nitty gritty!!!)

Hi

We've also received nothing at all from AEA.  There was no post for us when we checked in the post room when we were in DV at the end of March.  Our solicitor has set up a direct debit but we've seen no paperwork for them.  We were told that we would receive lots of information when we completed but to date have seen nothing and didn't even know they had a web site.  When we called at the AEA office we were given a form to fill out and had to list the problems we had and were told that these would be passed on the to someone else.  I have since received an email to say that our complaint had been sent on to the offices in Marbella but as yet we have not received a reply.

AEA Never seem to respond unless you email them day after day.

I received web access codes for the site on 3rd April. They do not work and despite 3 emails chasing have not had a response from AEA.

Have checked bank account this morning and fortunately they only took the money once. Thankful for small mercies, but shows what a shower they are.

On my way back to the apartment at about 11pm I met the site security quard...patrolling the completed blocks...I don't know who was more suprised me or him!!!  He was in uniform and told me he is here 10pm to 6am...he also gave me his mobile inumber f i need him but as he shares his duties with others it's only useful when he is working.

And this morning I saw an AEA vehicle in the complex...2 strokes of luck, must be my lucky day. Think i will  do the lottery ....

We did witness the Security Guard during our visit early April as he just loves talking on his mobile phone (Very Loudly) at the pool in front of our apartment at 2am in the morning.  We were quite pleased that there actually was a security guard considering AEA budgeted 42,000 euros for him in the accounts.  (I'm thinking of applying for the position myself when we move there!) lol.
