I sorted out almost all pending issues with Marina d'Or though I put a blind eye on some of them just for the sake of getting out of all the problems. In my opinion Marina d'or have a huge real estate project in hands but they don't enrol enough staff to deal with it. Therefore it's a total mess to deal with them and I would advise anyone to go on their own and visit the properties on the market with a local agent.
Rocky, concerning your issues I would say that you should try to avoid selling right now if you can. My analysis is that many Spanish residents bought the properties years ago and they are now selling it or offering it for short rent. I would say that many buyers who are acting like investors would sell their properties in the following 2 years after delivery. The next property development is in Cabanes and it is a bit far from the main Marina d'or development and doesn t have easy access to the seaside. Taking also into account the future airport I would say that if the property prices are stagnant right now, there is still good chances that they will start going up again in the years to come. Not to mention the Golf project. I dont see any possibilities for further construction near the seaside in the area so it should help to keep the prices going up.
About travelling there right now I dont have any problem from Valencia Airport. Then its no more than travelling to any London Airport from the city centre and a lot cheaper.
From Valencia Airport, you ve got now direct access to Valencia Rail Station by Metro:
Valencia Airport - Metro Line 3 or 5 to Xativa Station : 20 MN Euro 1.70
Valencia Train Station to Oropesa Station: Express Train 1hr Euro 6.15 Slow Train 1h30 Euro 5.40 Timetables available on www.renfe.com (http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html)
Then a taxi from the station is just a 5 MNS ride.
