Hi Mandyandtony,
Congratulations on your purchase.
Locally broadcast TV stations are available via the TV aerial sockets in the apartments. These are mostly in Spanish though there are some English speaking programmes or English language films with Spanish subtitles on the channels.
If you are looking for international TV, it is available via A2Z Telecom. They have various internet, telephone and TV packages available.
For example, you can get:
- international TV for 5€ per month for 3 months then 9€ per month
- internet 4MB for 10€ per month for 3 months then 18€ per month
- an internal phone, international TV and 4MB internet for 12€ per month for 3 months then 23€ per month
You will also have to pay installation and equipment charges, full details on their site.
TV channels can be found here
You can also use satellite TV, but you will need to get permission to install it, buy the dish, get it all wired in and pay the satellite TV subscriptions.
We just go for the basic internet service and stream our TV via internet streaming services like Netflix or FilmOn TV and use Skype for international calls.
You could easily access Sky Go, UK TV on demand services like BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, Channel 4 On Demand and UK Netflix services etc using a UK hosted proxy server.
Legally, it's against the T&Cs of these services to stream them abroad but highly unlikely to be detected or acted on if only used for personal viewing. Especially if you set up your own proxy server at home using a cheap device like a raspberry pi wired to your home router. All IMHO of course.
