Visit to view properties

Hi all,

Me an the wife will be in spain towards the end of this month looking at various properties within the murcia/ costa blanca region and after hours researching i like the potential sierra golf has to offer. im wondering if i could ask for some opinions and questions regarding what its like. We are both in our early 30's with a 6 year old boy and are looking to have a property at first as a holiday home for a few years but once settled and familiar with spain and the people in the community look to live there, potentially me commuting to the UK a few times a month for work.

1, am i right in saying the previous construction company went bust and now a new one is finishing off the development?

2, Due to the site being a urbanisation im guessing theres communtity rules if so can anyone provide a copy or details regarding these plus fees etc..

3, Is it safe and with minimum crime if a woman and child were living on there own time and again

4, Is there a good togetherness amongst the communitiy and all age ranges i.e children for my boy to make friends

5, is there an estate agents /office on site to show us around

ive probably got many more questions to bore you guys with be i would greatly appreciate some input as i see us moving to spain eventually which is a big oppertunity and i want to pick the best place possible i must admit we are going to be looking at a few other places like camposol, torrevieja, but by the looks of things sierra golf is up and coming.

we bought a property on Sierra golf in Jan this year.

we love it here!!!!!!

in answer to your questions:-

1.  Yes and yes

2.  Don't know of any specific community rules or fees

3.  Like anywhere there can be crime - however while we have been here there hasn't been none.  I personally would be happy to stay here on my one with a child.  There are several people living alone here.

4.  Yes the community spirit is great - I have just returned from a monthly coffee morning at the local bar - Sunday night is quiz night very busy great atmosphere - the pool bar is opening img in July on site and the golf club serve meals and drinks with lovely views of the surrounding area.  

Most residents are of pension age however holiday makers ages vary with lots of children in school holidays.  

We are a family of 51, 45 and 20.

5.  Yes a lady called holly who lives on site runs the onsite office.

We've been here two years - Joanne, Ricky and Lauren have answered the questions, but it is a superb place.  The community cohesion is fantastic, more and more people up here, we just need everyone to join in.

We are owners since 2008 don't and never have regretted it. Seen lots of comings and goings with changes but definitely on the up. We love the quiz nights rays Bern doing them where he can for many years.  We plan to retire part time in few years. Never had issues if safety on site lovely place  to walk around looking forward to enjoying the revamped facilities  we have met and made many friends .  Looking forward to meeting some of the newer people when we can get out later this year
