WIMAX INTERNET

Hi all

Just wondered if anyone uses wimax as their internet provider on SG. I'm after some basic info if possible.

What is the connection like ? How it actually works ? lol .

If so could you give me some ideas on costs involved, is there an installation charge for instance ?

Monthly pacakages prices etc , we would initially want it just when we are out there for a few weeks at a time and from

what I understand you pay a lower charge when you are not using it ?  I have had a look at the website but it was a

mine field and am not sure what it is we exactly need !!!!

We have just had it installed about three weeks ago and very good stable service. IT was 60 euros for instalation and 24 euros a month, but you can buy the equipment which is 200 euros plus the 60 euros instalation and then switch it on and off when you are here. I think the minimum switch on period is two weeks, so if you were here for a week then you would pay 9 euros for the time you are here. We are here long term so easier to pay the rental monthly, sorry forgot to say the 24 euros monthly includes 6 euros rental on the equipment which if you buy outright reduces the full months use to 18 euros. Instalation is normally within two to three days. Download speed is about 7 mg enough for me to stream 4K you tube videos.

That is very helpful , we would be coming out for max 2 weeks at a time for now, so looking at options where we would just pay when we are here.

We use pay as you go with teleast we like it

We have WiMAX on a pay as you go basis.  We paid upfront for the system.  It costs €16 a month pay as you go. (You can pay daily, just logon and pay what you want, and they switch it on for the dates you want.

We are getting 8Mb, which is perfect
