Hi All

I have just purchased an apartment in Covera golf course. Im looking for some advise of whats around the area. I will be arriving for the first time in Oct. I would be very grateful if I could get some help on the following.

How far is the nearest supermarket ?

How far is the town and is there restaturants and bars near by ?

Is there a key holder you can recommend?

We are getting our furniture from Ikea. Is there a service that delivers from Ikea and Assembles?

Thank you for any help you can give me .

Welcome!!

Supermarket - A couple in the town of Corvera - Leon on the main road through the town and another (forgot name) on the same street as bank/pharmacy. Both are well stocked with evrything you would need. Bigger stores are in Murcia.

The town is a 5 min drive, (maybe 20 - 25 min walk) plenty of places to grab a bite or a beer.

Many people use Chris Dean of 'The Finishing Touch Spain' for key holding etc. - he has an office on the main street on the corner near the traffic lights.

Not sure about delivery & assembly of furniture.

What dates you out in October & where is your place?

Hi,

In answer to your post regarding Ikea, I can confirm that they do offer a delivery and assembly service. We bought alot of our furniture from Ikea and they delivered it whilst we were back in the UK, Finishing Touch in Corvera  hold a key to our apartment. We didn't opt for the luxury of assembly we left that enjoyable task for ourselves over a long hot weekend...

Welcome to Corvera I think you'll find you've made a great decision.

Hi there - we used Ikea you need to use the MURCIA  http://www.ikea.com/es/es/store/murcia/english

We went to an ikea in the uk worked out what we wanted and then ordered it on line - they charge €19 to pick you order and about €70 to deliver but we got a refund (i dont know why) of €36???     They said they would be there at the apartment at 10am on the delivery date and they where there 15 mins early - they unloaded and then as like Maggie we got busy building....... make sure you have a tool kit!!!  though most of the furniture is alankeys!   we brought our tools from Leroy Merlin.   We also used Carrefore, Primark and Media Marktt  - I can share my shopping list if youd like to PM me with your email.

Mavis x

We are in block 5! We are out from 19th October for a week, so may just miss you?

When we were out in July/August there were quite a few people about, we have two girls 12 & 14.

Chris Dean offers cleaning services.

Hi, can some of you tell me a few things please...............

1. How did you come to choose Corvera Golf for your location?

2. Do the apartments have pre-wiring for Air Con?

3. Is there space for sun loungers around the pool as in any photos I looked at there seemed to be no actual area around the pool to place sunbeds?

4. Is the fact that the Golf Course is closed at the moment affecting atmosphere/ambience of the place?

5. Is the Golf course being cut/maintained at the moment or is it overgrown?

The prices are very good for properties on the resort but I'm wondering how easy it would be to sell if we decided to do that in the furure.

6. Anyone who has teens, do you find they get bored easily with just the pool and do they complain about going on holiday to the same place all the time. We have a mixture of teens and younger and am a little concerned that they may give out about always going to the same place if we purchase.

Would love any help ye can give us. TIA

Hi there.

1 - Found it on rightmove, visited and put a deposit down. Love the complex and town.

2 - Yes, air con is pre-installed (wiring and pipe work)

3 - Depends which community, but there is some space around pools

4 - Golf course being closed makes no difference in my opinion, although I haven't been there when it was open

5 - The course is no currently being maintained. We have not thought about selling in the future, we bought to use.

6 - We have two girls 12 & 14, they are happy with pool and Internet connection!

I would advise you to visit, get a feel for the place and speak to people you may meet there.

Good luck!

Answer from Us........

1. How did you come to choose Corvera Golf for your location?

Vetted lots of areas from Almeria to Murcia ... this offered a quality build in a nice area for a very good price.. also the town is lovely and spanish and you arent to far from the sea... also with the airport very near (if it opens before anyone goes off on that one)

2. Do the apartments have pre-wiring for Air Con?

Yes its all pre wire and there are housing outside apartments so taht they arent bolted on to the building randomly but concealed nicely

3. Is there space for sun loungers around the pool as in any photos I looked at there seemed to be no actual area around the pool to place sunbeds?

depends which community you are on... ours there is plenty of space... but best to visit to give you scale.

4. Is the fact that the Golf Course is closed at the moment affecting atmosphere/ambience of the place?

we havenet found this at all it made no difference to us on buying  if it is open then this will generate revenue that will obviously support the infrastructure for the entity ie the golf club etc.   and the other ancillary areas... also will bunce the price up on the apartments

5. Is the Golf course being cut/maintained at the moment or is it overgrown?

it is overgrown but doesnt IMO ruin the entity it just looks natural.

The prices are very good for properties on the resort but I'm wondering how easy it would be to sell if we decided to do that in the furure.

We are in for the long haul... we brought for us to use and our family andclose friends it wasnt to rent out....  we are not looking to sell for a very long time...

6. Anyone who has teens, do you find they get bored easily with just the pool and do they complain about going on holiday to the same place all the time. We have a mixture of teens and younger and am a little concerned that they may give out about always going to the same place if we purchase.

We have grown up sons with wifes and a grandchild on the way..  So prob not for me to answer...

x
