Hi Ray,
The reason the ground floor apartments are a little more expensive is that they have a slightly bigger area outside than the upstairs ones.
The condition of the properties vary slightly from one to another but only due to weather wear and tear to the outside terrace and the ceilings for these, other than that they are all pretty much the same and price differences are down to location and views etc,
There is security at the main gate to Hacienda del Alamo and El Oasis is gated seperately within the main resort, it currently does not have any additonal security although the main security do patrol in cars and on foot.
El Oasis is accessed by key fob remote controls for the barriers but as i am sure you can appreciate there has to be a balance between feeling safe and looking like a prison camp. If the community decide in the future to have additional security then this would be decided by the community themselves but would of course need to be paid for by community fees. Provision is in place at the entrance for this but it is currently not manned.
Hope this helps and please feel free to message me if you need any further information as I am an agent living and working on the resort.
