With owners moaning about costs on one side and statutes preventing the works proceeding at pace on the other, I think the committee are doing an excellent job. Unpaid volunteers doing their best for the community with little or no thanks from anyone and even abuse from others, one wonders why they do it. I for one appreciate their efforts.
As per the newsletter, the security and gardening staff put down sandbags after the recent rains to divert potential floodwater to great effect. They are proceeding with the rambla as fast as they can.
As with all other areas in the region, we are battling climate change and poorly designed flood defences. We are lucky that our problems are nowhere near as serious as others such as La Torre and Camposol
Even after the worst rains in decades that flooded Los Alcazares we were relatively unaffected.
It is fantastic that the committee are taking this risk seriously and putting in place measures to protect the resort.
