cpboyd as far as I know people have won their cases against the banks "us being one of them "but the question you asked have anyone got the money back yet ? I dont know we won our case 9 months ago ,but apparently the courts are to busy to sort our monies out ,we keep on to our solicitor he says he is doing all he can and we keep on waiting .So as far as I know I can only go on what other people say .georgie
any cases won at all ?

Go and visit the court with an interpreter Georgie, make plenty of noise. If our money isnt returned from the court soon thats what we will be doing.
Its the Yorkshire way lass. believe nothing of what they tell you and only half of what you see. If a jobs worth doing, do it yerself.

Hi cpboyd,
yes we won our case against the bank and yes we have received our money back to our account. We had GM legal acting for us and obviously we are so pleased with what they done.
It took us from April 2012 when we first engaged GM legal to March 2017 when monies were returned to us.
Having said that I know that there are variations depending on what court your case is heard not just in the time it takes but also the type of judgement made ( full deposit returned with or without interest and / or legal costs.)
Action against the bank using law 57/68 is the only way you can have a realistic chance of recovering your money.
Best Wishes

My resort, Tres Monilos, went belly up in 2008. After 9 years GM Legal not only got my outstanding deposit back but also my out of pocket court expenses.
I broke even on the whole deal, the interest on the deposit going to my lawyers, but well worth it.
My previous lawyers, who I'd better not mention for legal reasons, recommended I put myself on the list of creditors, in other words my case wasn't worth pursuing, (I have an email to that effect).
Well done Guadalupe and thank you.

Hi pff001
We were buying at Santa Ana, Jumilla. San Jose was the builder for Herrada del Tollo.
A case was brought against the banks BBVA and SGR who were supposed to hold the monies for the construction work.
Where were u buying?
