Case against the bank

My husband and I have been fighting for years for our money and it has cost us an awful lot in fees. We won a case in 2008 but despite being awarded our money back, plus interest and costs, we never received anything. We are now fighting the banks to get it back and this time we only pay if we actually get it back. We were told that it would only go to court if they felt we had a good chance of winning, which is understandable considering they lose if we do. It is currently in court so things are looking much more hopeful. I will keep everyone posted. We will have to pay a percentage of our award to the solicitors, but to us any money back is better than none. We have everything crossed. Lin

tez mayne so sorry to hear of your troubles getting your money back,after reading the posts on EonS nothing supprises me anymore .Maybe it would help others if you named the solicitor bank and court you used ,we read on here about the good ones it might help others if they knew who to avoid . Anyway best of luck and keep us posted .

Originally we used Abaco Asesores Solicitors and bought through Masa International. Masa promised so much but were very little help after we went through the courts and they said we shouldn’t have cancelled, but they had put us in touch with Abaco once we knew the build wouldn’t go ahead anyway. We were virtually on our own once we had won our case and Abaco even tried to say we owed them money, then washed their hands of us. We tried absolutely everything we could think of and it just kept costing us more and more money which we couldn’t afford. We won’t give up hope but the longer it takes the less likely it looks. This is our last chance.
