Hi all. I took a trip to look see today.
It all looked very productive with earth movers and lorries doing what they do. Much the same as last week. The area is now being cleared slowly but surely up to where the club house for the golf course should be, with posts for electricity being set in place. Also what looked like flood lights being erected in places, I presume so that they can work later when the nights draw in.
The ground that was cleared before the summer August break has been tidied up and weeded and cleared again. The area of the golf course that was made ready earlier in the year has been cleared of weeds and is tidy again.
All in all a lot of activity and quite positive. My one disappointment was that there does not appear to be any more holes being laid out on the golf course, just tidying up of what already existed prior to the August break. Given the benefit of the doubt, it may be that they cant be seen to be doing too much to the course until the licences are released. The water levels in the reservoirs are dangerously low in the Murcia region at the moment and it would not be wise, I dont suppose, to draw attention to the golf course as far as the locals are concerned. We had some heavy rainfall with spectacular lightning shows on Saturday and Sunday so hopefully the reservoirs will have benefited from that. Monday morning you would never have known it had stormed at all. Blue skies and back to 26/27 degrees.
As licences to go full steam ahead are expected around the 28th September, I will go take another look on Friday.
I have posted this or a similar message on Santa Ana del Monte and Yeclaserve to save you looking at them all.
