I would like to know if any purchasers have instructed Roda to fit their units.

The price they are asking is very expensive as is most of the other goods offered for sale on their website.

If  forum members who are interested in saving up to a 1000Euros pls email me with fase/plot numbers. I have contact with an established UK owned company in Murcia who will fit similar if not better units.The more business we give them the better the deal i should be able to negoiate.

We have purchased in phase 2 and were informed by MRI and Rodas salesman that the air con was included, they failed to mention it was pre installed. I wonder wether anyone else has had the same experience. Being in the heating business its not the sort of thing I would miss,

We also purchsed through MRI in phase 2 but my recollection is that was made clear that aircon was not included and only pre-installed - maybe was dependent upon the particular salesman and how they put it across, but I have checked my notes from the time and can see it written down that not included  !!

Hi all, we have purchased at Corvera Golf & Country Club, Roda's sister resort, and are likely to have the same problem.  Stupidly, I thought pre-installation meant the air conditioning units were installed.  How much are Roda proposing to charge?

Hello there.  I have purchased 2 apptm'ts in phase 1 but thought the air conditioning looked very expensive so didn't take it up with Roda.  I would be very interested in saving on the cost.  I am an investor and have 2 properties in Roda as well as 2 in Corvera so this is 4 properties to add to the list of those interested in the air conditioning alternative (if the price is right).  I also have access to 30 other investors who bought in Roda and Corvera who would be interested in saving a pound or two.  I will get the property references to you. Please let me know what sort of price we are looking at. All 4 properties are 2 bed appartments. Cheers!

We are on phase 3 (2 bed apt), so would be interested to know how you get on. Please indicate prices.

I met up with the owner of the AC company last week and have neg what would seem to be a GR8 deal for all  interested forum members.

There will be a saving of approx 500 Euro on the Roda price on 2 / 3 bed properties.This is a Fujitsu inverter system which comes with a 3 year garantee and 24/48 hour local after sales.

Full details of the model/ capacity and prices are available if you email me off the forum.

Due to the limited space in the ceiling the Fujitsu units will not fit.

Therefore I have now have a new deal in place using "LG", UB24 NHC DC units which come with a 7 year compressor guarantee, the rest of the spec is same as the Fujitsu Inverter.

The price is a little higher, but still with a good saving on the units offered by Roda.

just received offer from roda regarding their air con.

they are offering air con unit and installation for 2 bed apart for 2514 euros (no inverter) and 3200 euros (invertor)

these prices are ex vat!

how does this compare with other offers?

If you have read the snagging thread the you may be aware Calidona are using 2 builders on faze 1.

It now comes to light they have fitted different size pipes for the AC.  Therefore on some properties the LG units will not fit.

Where this is the case the same make of units "Carrier" as Roda are using can be fitted. The suggested units are with an inverter model 80B which will cost 2650 euro inc IVA. Rodas price for the same units is 3700 euros as quoted to Arky25,Rodas price for the non-inverter is 2760 euros. This gives us a saving of approx 1000 euro

I have been told today by the AC company that some of the workmanship on units Roda have fitted leave a lot to be desired.

We have actually installed some aircos now. Mitsubishi class A inverter. The choice of system for Alhambra depends on the floor (length of tubes) and 2 or 3 bed and price wise there is a small difference. It´s 2380€ or 2690€. Just 25 db noiselevel and around 35 % reduction on electricity compared to the Carriers. Using a split in the villas is not a good idea either and a much better solution is 2 machines, again with inverter. I can get you a quote for that as well. Just contact if I can be of help

Hi All

We have a 2 bed Alhambra and we had an LG inverter system fitted.  We tested out the heating and the cooling of the system post installatin and I have to say, in view of the weather, the heating side was excellent.  I have been advised that it will be probably cheaper to use the heating side of hte air con system rather than the radiators fired by the gas boiler.

Does anyone own a townhouse which has had air con fitted.  We have been told by a company that we need two units fitted, one for upstairs and one for downsatirs.  Is this correct?  Please help this is stressing me out because this is twice the price!
