Hi all,

Simon has been in Spain the last few days to get his NIE number, (lots and lots of queueing. If you still need to get one, send a private email for some useful advice!!!!), and he called in to see the site while he was there.

so,.... I can give you a quick bulletin on how things are looking at Altos. MUCH more of the groundwork has now been done, including work to the pool area, which is now at the appropriate level for the pool. A large area has been marked out which looks as though it could be for the tennis court and the groundwork is generally progressing rapidly. Steps have been put in and the road has tarmac, (can't remember if he said this was at the front of back). If you have not been out for a while, you will really notice the massive change! Work has also begun at the other end of the development, as you drive in,  where the latest block will now be built- attached to block 8. The hole for the foundations was dug out a few weeks ago, but foundation work has now truly started.

I hope this is useful. Hasta luego.

Liz & Simon

Thanks for the info Liz.  We are looking forward to October when we can see for ourselves.  I only hope the work isn't too noisy or disruptive for those living and holidaying there though.

Joe,

unfortunately, the work is pretty full-on, a real building site right under the balcony, so some disruption is inevitable. This was also one of the reasons we decided to cancel in the end, we just couldn't stand the thought of all the work still to be completed. It's a shame we won't be in Spain in October, so we won't be able to catch up with you and Kathie. We are hoping to complete on our villa in September so will be out then and again at Christmas, so if your'e around then let us know. Parhaps we can have the Altos de Campoamor escape committee reunion, like the one we had last christmas!

Take care,

Liz
