DVD Player in Spain

As I live in the North Midlands I used this route twice this year. (Too far for Stansted and Ryanair !!).

Due to this I receive promotional emails from them, and noticed that when they displayed their lists of destinations in Spain, Jerez was missing.

If you use their website to try to plan any flights in the future you will find it ends in very early November.

I have sent a query to Monarch to confirm this but have not had a reply yet.

Does anyody know if it has definitely been dropped ?

Living where we are Stansted is not a good journey. Anybody any ideas of alternatives ?

I contacted Monarch who said that currently they have no flights planned after March 08.  We live in South Yorkshire and it was ideal for us.  But I have been checking flights from Stanstead and the prices are really cheap so next time we fly over we are going to give it a go as people say its easy to get to not like Gatwick & Heathrow.  Alternatively it means flying to Malalga and driving up.

You are quite right. I noticed it the other day but was trying to find out more details from their website.

Flight times/prices are now available on the site.

The flights are Fridays only, and from May-October only. The first flight is 23rd May.

Times are good, being 8:10 am going out and 13:00 coming back. Prices are not as good as Ryanair, with the first being £249 and then prices thru June/July dropping to £149, going up to £249 through the summer holidays and backdown to around £160 for September/October.

So for me (from North Derbyshire/South Yorkshire) its either a long trek to Stansted with cheaper flight prices but not so good flight times, or a much shorter journey to Manchester with good flight times but stiffer prices.

As the saying goes " you pays your money and takes your choice ".

Who knows maybe by completion time somebody else will be flying from East Midlands to Jerez.
