We asked our lawyers last week for a copy of the licence, if they have it, but have received no response as yet - which would lead us to believe that they still don't actually have a copy of the habitation licence. I'm sure it won't be long before it's granted though. But until then ...... no rush to comlete I guess!!

Hi Pitby, We are in block 14 and was recently told by our lawyers that the first licence of habitation was received on our block mid-September. We are very sceptical about this and will be requesting a copy. As soon as I have it I will let you know.

Hi - We have again asked our lawyers for a copy of the Licence to Occupy. From what I've read here, it's not clear whether it's the licence that has been issued or the certification of final building works (or whatever!!). It does appear that nobody has, as yet, actually been sent a copy of the Licence to Occupy (or Habitation Licence) for these blocks. So soon as we have any news, we will also let you know!!

Have just received from our lawyers a copy of the "Licencia de Primera Utilizacion" covering blocks 8, 10, 12 and 14, dated 2nd October. I'm not quite sure what the "first" bit means, if there is another licence to be issued or if this is the only one required (then why is it entitled "Primera"?). Maybe someone from blocks released earlier can enlighten us? But looks like our lawyers take this as enough to proceed to completion!! If anyone would like a copy, send me a private message, with your email, and I'll forward it to you.

Pitby - Not sure what your License is for, but I believe that a property is not truly complete until it has been issued with a certificate of habitation (cedula de habitabilidad). If you click on the 'Snagging Trends and Analysis' article on the right hand side you can find more details. I am in block 14 and am still waiting and waiting and waiting ...................

Thanks for that Moth! You're right, I think. From what I can gather, the Licence we've received is certifying that the building has been built to standards, as to plans, etc., and is required before the cedula de habitabilidad is issued. I shall be getting on to our lawyers to find out when the actual habitation licence is expected to be issued!! Thanks again!

Our solicitors have sent us the Licencia De Primera Utilizacion. This covers 7,9 and 13.
Does this mean they still have to get the habitation licence? Or this this implicit in the above licence.

Hi - have just heard from the developers office (Antonio Munoz) that the La Cédula de habitabilidad is included in the Licencia de Primera Utilizacion. So, subject to the lawyers confirming that, it would appear that all is in place to proceed to completion. Jan
