Hi all

I have seen it mentioned that the forum has gone a little quiet - as mentioned on a couple of threads.

Is this because the development is in it's last stages?

How many properties are left to complete on, how many remain unsold?

Has the market gone really flat?

I found this forum very useful for keeping in touch with developments in Dream Hills2 whilst I was awaiting completion.

Perhaps the contact by email has been too succesful, I know I certainly use this facility and have swapped email addresses with others and keep in touch by this method also.

If people have questions / observations about the development perhaps they should be posted to generate abit more response - who knows?

I'm going back for my 8th visit this year in a couple of weeks and can't wait to get back into 'dream Mode'.

Use the forum and get the most out of it.

Hi All ,we are due to complete end of this month (Dec) but not heard anything yet.

Conrad, you mentioned that Louise host a message board, how do I access it?

I have found the site interesting and informative but agree it has gone quiet of late.

Has anyone bought through Atlas? I was wondering how many days it takes to sort everything out when you go over for completion, they recommend 5 days. Also did you have to go over as soon as you completed because we would prefer to go at Feb half term when we can take our little girl with us.

Lynne and Terry

the dh2 board is Here  you will need to register and also provide proof if at all possible of your house on dh2 something like the top part of your contract

Hi Lynne & Terry

We are also due to complete at end of December. Have just learned that our property was released by the builder on 3rd December. We are also buying through Atlas. Suggest you check your Client Centre website, you might have similar news.

Like you we weren't sure how long we needed to be across there for completion. We were also hoping to make it in Feb rather than January. Keep in touch and let us know if you find out any more info about the completion stage. We'll do likewise.

It's getting exciting now!

Cheers

Eddie & Maureen

Hi all,

I havent posted for quite a while, as I was lucky enough to be able to spend 2 months in my place at dream hills and did not want to come back to the really cold weather here. I took my two dogs over with me, going through the channel tunnel and then drove down through France and Spain. I was really anxious about the journey, but it was really easy and we only needed a one night stop going down.

Coming back was a different story, as neither my friend or I were prepared to drive the route via Paris. As a result it took us a lot longer to drive the distance! Also we had to book a vet to do the necessary treatments with the dogs between 24 and 48 hours before returning to England. What a rip off that was - the equivalent of £100 just to put a worming tablet in their mouth, spray them with frontline and sign their passports!! Anyway it meant that we had to have 2 nights stop overs.

The other drama I had was when I got to the pet passport office in Calais, and scanned my dogs. One of them had an error in the number recorded in the passport, one number had been left out. Fortunately I had taken the blood test results with me which had the correct numbers recorded. They had to ring DEFRA to see if my dog could return to England. The passport and blood test reults had to be faxed to DEFRA and I had a very worrying half hour wait for them to give me a decision! However, fortunately they said yes!!

Dream Hills was wonderful! They have started to lay large pipes down the hill (aka Cardiac hill!) from VIA park 3 and I was told by the lady in the show house, that they were going to be finishing off the bridge over the motorway soon. As mentioned before they are still building behind the show house.

The weather whilst I was there was mixed. There was at least one day of rain nearly every week, but unlike Britain, it was often a beautiful day the next day, so the rain did not get you down! The other days were like our pleasant summer days. The evenings were quite cold and you needed long sleeve tops most nights.

I completed in June and the whole process is not nearly as stressful as I was led to believe!Good luck to all of you completing soon, I hope everthing goes well for you, it is a very exciting time!!

Julia

Hi

We were over in October to see how things progressing with our place and were told that we should also be completing end of December.  We agreed with our agents we would come out beginning of Feb and told this would be ok - we have booked flights accordingly.  We are obtaining a spanish mortgage and have been told that the "horizontal division" has not been issued yet and until this is available lender won't be able to proceed further.  Were advised by agents that this had been applied for at end of November and normally should be issued within 2-3 weeks.  Does anyone else know anything about this document?  If all goes according to plan DH2 could be a busy place at the beginning of February!!

Regards

Kathleen

Hi Kathleen,

I also have a Spanish mortgage and was waiting ages for the habitation certificate that you are talking about to come through. In the end I got fed up of waiting, so I contacted the bank who were providing the mortgage to see if they would lend the money before the habitation licence was issued. When they knew that Torrevisa were the builders, they agreed to lend the money up front, as they have a good reputation in Spain. I know that to complete before the licence is issued is a risk, but as the bank were prepared to come up with the money I thought it was a risk worth taking. The licence has come through now so it worked out for me thankfully. You are the only one who can weigh up the decision for yourself about this issue. If your mortgage provider will not lend the money up front you would be wise to wait for the licence to come through.

Julia

Hi all

Sounds like things are moving on quickly for alot of people - good luck, completion ain't all that bad - it even gets better with the passing of time.

I'm going out this weekend and can't wait.

Ryanair seem to be doing some good prices for flights.

Any one need somewhere to stay whilst completing ?

My place could be available.
