2 years ago we reserved a property in San Juan, Calas Del Pinner.
The original completion date for the property was Jan 07 with a clause, which enabled them to go into June 07.
Deposit paid by buyers varied from 30% upto 50% so many of us have paid substancial amounts to the builder.
Work has progressed significantly over the last 6 months, whereas before little progress was made.
We are now being advised that the properties will be handed over between June 08 and March 09, depending on the phase your property is in. We are scheduled for March 09 which means we have waited 3.5 years for the property!
Whilst the purchase was on the basis that interest would be paid for late completion, when you start pursuing this it is not the case without going through the courts and incurring additional solicitors costs.
We would be interested to learn if any buyers on the development near Murcia had similar problems in relation to delays, interest etc.
