Please note that the generator which replaced the builder electrical supply at Roda is constantly breaking down. I personally experienced several power cuts whilst I was there in July. The generator or the company which supplies them are not doing their job properly. This will affect guests who rent prop from us all and will ultimately effect rentals if not sorted out by Peinsa. I have a guest there at the moment who arrived on Thursday evening. Since then the gen. has stopped 3 times. The first time on the night he arrived until the early hours of the next morning. As I was speaking to him tonight (Fri) it broke down again!

I have sent an e mail  have sent to the administrators office this evening complaining about this situation. I would suggest that the more e mails the better.

Also remember...no electric, no water. The water supply is powered by pumps.

Likewise, we have rentals in our apartment experiencing the same problems no electricity, no water and no air con with temperatures in the top 30s - 40 degrees it's unacceptable.

Something needs sorting asap to get us connected to the mains, the generators can't cope with the extra air con units and water supplies.

Just an update to the generator thread. I have been told by my friend in Roda that the generator is now cutting out 2/3 times a day. The problem is that the current gen. is too small for the task. The people who live near to the play area have complained to Peinsa about the noise the larger gen. made hence its replacement by the smaller model !!

Spoke to peinsa sales office today. They tell me that the supplier of the generator has been sacked and a new company will be instilling another generator today.

Is anyone at  Roda now and in a position to inform us :

Has the new generator been fitted ?

If yes, is it coping or have there been more power cuts since it was installed?

We have received an e mail from the Administrator saying the problem has been solved but would like reassurance from someone who is actually there.

Does anyone have any news when we might be hooked up to the main power supply please?

Thanks

Amanda & Paul

I left last Sunday night and did experience a number of power cuts over a two week period.

I heard yesterday that meters were being fitted into our boxes so the changeover could be imminent !!!

My friend left our  apartment last Thursday, 16th Aug. The electric co. were there at the time and told him the electric power would be transfered to the mains that day.

Andy,  I had an email from Pat yesterday (17th) to say they are on mains now, and that we should be fairly soon. I can't believe that the generator may soon be silenced - or will it?  if there are other houses etc still to go on will we still have to suffer the noise or could it be moved to wherever it is needed?
