Planning permission needed?

Its not a problem finding the snags its getting the builder to put them right we have been in our house nine months and just had one minor snag done on one of the shutters.  We were told to go direct to the builders office we have been 3 times and no luck.  The estate agent has also tried for us we have no main lights in the lounge or on the stairwell and no main light in the master bedroom the grill will not open on the balcony I do not think these are minor faults.  I would be glad to get these done than worry about the minor ones.  We are out there in February and they had better be done by then as I am sick of them promising they will come and we spend the week waiting in for them.  Anyone got any  idea's to help it might liven the site up a bit at the moment it is as dead as Dream Hills.  Irene

Got fed up waiting mine were only minor so did most my self when you say no lights do you mean there are no wires there ready or were they supposed to put the lights in for you

We have the wires but when our electrician put up the new lights in the lounge and on the stairwell they didnt work and the bedroom light on;y works from the switch near the bed not the wall by the door.  when he tested it there was no power to the switches.  The minor problems are no rails in the wardrobes and the wardrobe doors keep falling out of the runners no screws in the door handles the bedroom grill is stuck thight but you can see where they have tried to hammer it open and the rail at he top of the stairs is loose.  I have rang to day and they  told me again to come down to the office, I told them I was in the UK now and going to the office has no effect anyway. I think I will put a big note up outside our house telling the people that are looking at the pilot house what they are in for.  They have our money now so they dont care.  Its still nice to be able to go and I am looking forward to going in Feb.  Irene
