Hi just wondered if anyone is going to be around on New Years Eve, we are in block 28 and are going to be out there until the 13th Jan so if anyone would like to meet up then let us know. Also can someone tell us if the indoor pool is functionable now as when we came out in November it was not open.

Yes the indoor pool is now fully open, and some of the teething troubles seem to have been ironed out, (just don't go in the jacuzzi as it has a better head on it than a pint of guiness, not to mention a distinct whiff, and the steam room doesn't fare much better!)

We are here full time and are in Bloque 12, Fourth Floor (if you come in the lift), Apartment Number 7, and we are planning an informal get together at some point between Christmas and the New Year, just watch this space!

We are also out at new year. Does anybody know of any local places were they may have a dinner dance type event on. We have 2 children ages 6 + 10. Any suggestions please.

We will be out there for the new year and, due to problems with the snagging of our apartment, have booked to stay at Desert Springs, therefore, we have booked to go to their Crocodile Club for New Years Eve, there is an international buffet and a disco etc,,,

We will be visiting our apartment but sadly, we were not confident that the snagging would be done in time, so we have ended up booking elsewhere rather than allow the accommodation spoil the holiday.  The bonus being that we are staying a stones throw from the club, therefore, no problems getting home having had a drink, classic problem wherever you are on New Years Eve.

Hope to see lots of people though, as this is only our second visit since completing in August.

I know that this message is not relevant to the topic, but in reply to the last user "jayuser", I too completed on the 3rd August and am still having "snagging" completed. Admittedly, some of the jobs only showed up once I was living in the property, (not all things are apparent in the first instance), but, the jobs ARE getting done!

The word on the Bloque is that KeyMare have got rid of several "key" personel, who were NOT doing their jobs satisfactorily. I believe one of them had a penchant for enjoying  "porkie pies" and shared the name of a famous, bikini-clad actress! No prizes for guessing who that (allegedly), could be!!!

All I know, at this moment in time, is that jobs are being completed, KeyMare are listening and actually appear to be acting in a "pro-active" fashion. The weather is going to be warm and bright today, my "holiday" flu is getting better,  the birds are singing, wine is only €1.42 a bottle, lift is working (fingers crossed, long may it continue), am I annoying anyone?!!!

Yes, we did complete in August but rather stupidly (due to personal circumstances) couldnt get over beforehand to do any snagging, but thought that as Keymare are such a reputable company this would not incur any major problems.  Anyway, partly due to the fact that we are in the UK and therefore our requests are mainly by email or occasionally phone, we were getting ignored. 

We have only been advised last week that some of the snagging has been done and due to the fact that there are hygiene issues (toilets overflowing/not flushing properly and baths not draining) we opted to stay elsewhere as we had already booked the flights, obviously in anticipation of staying in our apartment after the works had been done.   Incidentally, we have still not been advised that the aircon is working correctly, it wasnt remotely cold in August when we were there.

My advise would be, if possible, to not complete until all snagging has been sorted out, as I believe money talks and I am sure the snagging would have been done earlier if we hadnt already paid for the property. 

Those of you who have been advised that snagging is in progress, who is advising you? I have Emailed every Keymare E mail address I can get hold of, asking on progress of my snagging, but no one replies. I can not get any contact from keymare to communicate.

Any help appreciated, I would like to sign off the work but would not wish to waste time to ravel if works are not comp-leted.

Exactly, the problem is that Keymare will tell you that work has been done when it has'nt. You have to get someone to check it for you,  I have keyholders who check weekly and take photo's.

As I have said on another thread, if the work is not completed by the time commuity charges become payable, I will get quotes for the work and use that money to pay for it.
