Hallelujah!
Some significant progress:-
4 banks...CAM, Banco de Valencia (BV), Cajamurcia (CM) & Bancaja. Tho we still use La Caixa in Algorfa to save the 1.5% mullarkey...
Johnsons is still there.
La Cascada doing fine. Another bar further down that level away from main entrance, El Lugar. OK.
In between, Angels, pizza place. Didn't have time to try it!
And Baybrooks is open. Hurray! More to come on next page...

We tried Baybrooks...really quite good...Nice people...
There's also a beauty parlour. Well, two actually. One for humans & another for canines...may even be a vets? Anyone know?

Hola everybody and a Happy New Year.
Just returned from La Finca where we had a fantastic time over the xmas & new year period. It was nice to see Baybrooks had opened, had a meal in there it was lovely and a nice wine bar above the restaurant is a very relaxing place to have a drink. We also went in El Lugar which is also very nice upstairs with the leather setees and plasma televisions. Our daughter had her hair done in the new beauty salon called Bliss very reasonable prices also very nice girls. There is also a pizza place called Angels which we did'nt visit but looks ok.

Does anyone know of a good shop in the La Finca area where I can buy garden furniture. In particular looking for a smallish bistro table with chairs?

Still no change on staffed "gate houses" or regular car patrols...but I am in correspondence with ADT about this...Will keep you posted!
Massive plus...Went back to Bene Luz near the "cherry picker" roundabout south of Almoradi coz we had a couple of after sales problems with two light fittings from last summer...
Tenemos los problemos said I...No problemos said the man...He was speaking proper Spanish unlike me...
Next working day, Angel had it all sorted within 15 minutes!!! Highly recommended...
By the way Restauante Rebate up in the hills behind is fab...overlooking a valley Menu Espanol @ lunch time...about 21€ each?

Sorry...I have not really moved forward re the promised "manning" of the "gate houses" or car patrols or really got to the nub of who's responsibility it is to now provide them...
