Car Hire Malaga Airport

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a car hire company at Malaga Airport particularly for long term summer rental for six weeks or so.I have used doyoudospain and helle hollis before and they were ok but I was wondering if there are any rental companies that would do discounts for long term. I would appreciate any info at all.

I have used malagacar.com (bus to/from airport) and holidayautos.co.uk - both for short periods and found them both very good.

i have been using paris autos for many years, and find i am away from the airport in 5 minutes which is great -no hanging about.

prices are competitive but not sure long term

I found this company to be one of the cheaper car rental firms especially for hire of one month or more. I have booked with them for Easter so I will let you know how I get on.

I have used espacar (www.espacar.com) several times. They also have regional office in Estepona.

 

How do any of these car hires work? Are they waiting with car ready as you exit terminal, no waiting and ready to go? Like to get to Casares del Sol asap once we land. thanks

When we first started going out we used Malagacar.com and they were very efficient but the big drawback for us was the waiting outside the terminal for the minibus, as their office is just off-site - a bun fight in summer.

We now use www.carjet.com as we haven't found anything cheaper, or more straight forward to book, and  their suppliers - Auriga Crown, Record, Goldcar etc are all in a dedicated area down the ramp after baggage collection. In the height of summer it is busy & we've queued for probably 20 minutes but handover is quick. On return you drive straight into the airport parking area and reps are patrolling who will take the keys, sometimes do a quick walkaround, give you a chitty to hand in at the office hut where you park up & that's it.

The last time I used espacar, their rep was waiting at the exit at Malaga airport with my name on a sign. From there we walked to the car park and collected car.  He told us on our return to leave car in the same area and to leave window slightly open so that keys can be put inside. However on our return, their reps had spotted the car in queue and took over. One thing I have not done is compare their prices, but the service has always been good and their reps have been many times to my apartment.
