Are there any other views on the boiler situation it seems that so many people have mentioned problems with it as part of their snagging. It is mentioned again in the last thread.
It is a bit worrying as a boiler should last years and ours was ripped out and repaired before it had been used even once.
Is it just teething problems with them and after this they are fine? or is it going to be an ongoing saga and eventually we will have to start paying for repairs or even a new boiler?
Is it a sub standard boiler being fitted? or is it being fitted incorrectly?
Is it something the community should or can get involved with?

Ive had a few problems with my boiler on phase 1 (no heating and/or hot water). Ive just been out to sort out the heating and a ROCA engineer needed to be called out again. He's fixed the heating but now I'm left with problems with my hot water as it keeps going cold. Is anyone else experiencing the same problems?

Our boiler stopped working when we were there earlier in the month. I was pleased to hear last week that a Roca engineer had been and fixed it but now a bit nervous in case it isn't a permanent repair. We wil find out in a couple of weeks when we go again.

Have you left a key with Roda to sort the problem out? When I complained last week the ROCA Engineer came out the same day (I think this was because i was on site). I don't know whether to fly out again and try and get the water problem sorted but am concerned that it will end up being a wasted trip if the ROCA engineer doesn't show. At what point will we have to start paying for the call outs? Do you know if its a 2 year guarantee?

We have had the same problem, it has happened 2 or 3 times now. The last time they said that the boilers get air blocks through lack of use and there is supposedly something in the user guide on how to fix it. I will check this next month when I am out unless anyone can clarify this.

Hi Mandi
My property managers are liaising with Roca and yes there is a 2 year guarantee - Andrea in Technical SErvices confirmed that. Do you have anyone locally who looks after your apartment for you?

Yes I do but they are not local and there would be call out costs hence the reason why i thought about going out myself. Its working out expensive. I'm not sure if i had a manual, i'll check when i'm out next. If its the case of just air blocks then I don't understand why my hot water is now blowing hot and cold after the engineer has visited.

They are normal specification boilers used all over Spain
One common problem is not the boiler but the vents getting blocked
Please make sure that you have a Carbon Monoxide alarm fitted in the kitchens

Hi Roy,
We have not even switched our boiler on yet, but are slightly concerned after reading the negative posts. You mentioned the vents getting blocked, where abouts are they and what do they get blocked with? Any advice would be appreciated.
