IS THERE NO END TO THE NUMBER OF NEW MEMBERS?

We are in Block 9 first floor 1 F . Cant get over till August 1st for two weeks , anybody fancy a BBQ let me know. We are Andy and Juliet Irwin. We are both 40 with a 16 year old son. It would be nice to meet some of the neighbours. We are from Southport England but are moving to Spain in about a year to live.

Hi Andy, we're just in front of you in block 10. Should see you in the summer, we're going over when school finishes coming back on the 4th August. We've a daughter, 16, and two sons 14 and 10.  Fairly near neighbours over here as well, just up the road in Chorley.  We have no plans yet to move over to Spain permanently though the family would be over there in a shot if they could!

What a small world we live in , Chorley must be 20 minutes away from here. I hope I meet up with you lot in August. My parents live in Mijas and my Brother has got a nice place there too so its just me to make the move now.

We, that is Christian and my fiancée Samira,are waiting for our apartment which is on ground floor in block 5. We discovered this wonderful web site and just wanted to introduce ourselves for the rest of our future neighbours!

We currently live in windy Gothenburg, Sweden, and are planning to go to Spain when the property is finished, so hopefully in 6 weeks or so, for a couple of days. Then we will hopefully have a wonderful vacation in July/August!

We have been reading a bit about the different topics on the site, for instance the snag report thread and such. We are very much interested in joining up for the various check-ups, eg. snag report,  and other communal issues that might arise. We also agree with you all that a strong community here will definetly give us a better chance of molding Don Juan to the community we all want it to be!

Hi Eoin  and Lorraine,

We're actually in block 10, the corner garden apartment next to the road down to the main pool.  We've three children, 16, 14 and 10 and we're all looking forward to our visit in the summer  - we'd be devastated if it's not ready. We (or probably just Pete) will be visiting before then though, hopefully for the first community meeting and, at some point ,to sort out furnishing.

I agree it's great to be able to chat to neighbours before we even get there, it will be fun putting faces to names!

Can anyone tell me where I can view a copy of the plans that show how the blocks are numbered,as I have no idea what any of the block numbers are except my own which is phase 1 block 4.

Lorraine here thanks for your message, My daughter is dying to know if your 10 year old is male or female as she is already looking for a friend over there to pal around with.

She loves swimming and would be in the pool all day. When ever we get the keys which seems to be getting further away.

Just a brief introduction from Jim and Joan Clarke.  We are buying in Phase 1, Block 8, middle right hand side ground floor as you look in from the sea.  We are from Birmingham, England and hope to go out to Spain for completion and hopefully meet some of our fellow neighbours.  We have only recently been told about this site, and had a brief browse at the comments, which we have found very interesting.  Is there anyone else out there buying in our block?

Just found this site. We have an apartment in Block 1 Phase 1. Been visiting regularly for the last 4 years! Had meeting last thursday with Mrs P. Everything seemed ok, very dusty inside!  Just waiting and hoping like everyone else. Have taken hundreds of photos, from 1 stick in the ground to now. Would love to hear from anyone.

we are Block 1, second floor - view towards Fuengirola.  Seems very high up! I had appointment last Thursday with Mrs P.

Had good look round the apartment, everything seems ok, except no white goods in the kitchen yet. Will be there when we have signed up. Floors very dusty - our job to clean up now!  Site all finished, just gardeners finishing planting trees and tidying up.  The whole complex looks like a ghost town - but also looks very pretty - just waiting for people to fill it!

Mrs Perla quite hopeful things would be moving very soon - but we have heard that lots of times!!

We live in a village near York, and have two daughters, Sarah and Emma, also two very small grandchildren - Lily and Josh.

Wecome to EOS. We all think Don Juan  (the place not the man!) is special and we're looking forward to completion. I have to confess I feel a bit of a fraud - we only bought in Spetember 06 when everything was as good as finished but we're as impatient as you guys who have been waiting for 4 years! I suggested to Vangy (the other half) that we might be at the back of the queue and not complete until August. I am not saying Vangy is violent but I'm just glad my daughter does first aid!!

I discovered the site back in February but not posted anything since although I'm an avid follower of events. Thank you everyone for keeping us so well informed. Thought it time to make introductions.

I'm Sonia and my husband is Bachir and live in South London.   We are waiting for completion on our ground floor - that's the first level with a balcony - apartment in Block 7. We agreed to buy back in September 2004 so are getting pretty fed up now especially as our solicitor signed the initial contract and the extract we were sent stated completion in November 2005. Only discovered that mistake in January 2006.  Not heard from him since and trying to contact is useless.  Of course we now realise - thanks to this site - that we commited the cardinal sin and took the solicitor suggested by the estate agent.

We are hoping to use the apartment ourselves and not rent out. We have one grown up daughter who has two children so they may be 'allowed' to use it!  But we're looking forward to some long weekends enjoying the sun accompanied by lots of cava.

Hi Sonia and Bachir, welcome to our little community. Hope we all get chance to get together over the summer if the apartments are ready. We're hoping it's going to be soon as we have flights booked for the first couple of weeks of the school hols - we may end up having to find somewhere else to stay. Forgot to mention of course that we still have to furnish it! Oh well it's all part of the fun I hope. We may end up bringing sleeping bags!
