Hi Max
What I meant by that quote,'I think we may need to move fast before the president writes it into the community rules for the coming year." was that we, the owners need to be kept up to date when any of these decision making meetings take place. How this can be done I dont know, other than it being mentioned on this website, or our private email addresses being given to the President so he can let us know. A perfect example of this, was when I found out about the first community meeting date, I posted it on the website. Having spoken to a number of owners, not one of them knew anything about the meeting, and I only found out about 2 weeks before the meeting itself. Its ok for people living at Don Juan to be told so late, but a lot of us wont be living there, and due to work commitments wont be able to travel over for the meetings, and we would end up paying high prices for flights because of booking so late. I would be interested to know how many non residents specificly booked flights just to be at that first meeting. My guess would be "none". That is my whole point. I think it would be fair to give us atleast 3 months notice of a meeting to give us a chance to be there to vote and air our views. I have heard a rumour there may be a meeting in December. Maybe they wont tell one of us until a week or two before again. Who knows. I think a list of email addresses would be an easy way to keep us all updated on anything going on at Don Juan.
