Gas Cost for AC Unit

We are just back from CDP and while two staff in the sales office told us that the first three phases were to be ready for June, two estate agents catagorically told us it was more likely to be October or the end of the year.  I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, I'm just thinking of buyers ready to pack up and move out there.   I've tried contacting our Spanish solicitor to get a firm date since we got back but have had no reply.  Certainly work is pushing on and the outsides appear to be finished and looking good.  The showhouse build quality inside is fabulous and the new style kitchen units very modern.  We tried to push for white goods but the sales staff said there would be no offers of compensation.  We also asked our estate agent but nothing was forthcoming.

The golf course is set further back than first impressions and there is to be a large commercial centre between CDP and the golf course.  There aren't that many properties for sale around, just what you would expect in a developing area.  We searched all around for 'Furniture Package' shops much to my husband's annoyance and found variations in the price really by quality of package.  So horses for courses. We found Furniture Plus (who are now based on the road leading into Lorca) to be good value with quality bedding etc.

Another service we were impressed by were the staff at Cajamurcia Bank near the square in AGuilas  The staff were very keen to practise their English and help any way they could even to the detriment of the long forming queue of Spanish workers.  We have now arranged online banking and a debit card with our new bank account.  The only concern was they didn't even want to see our passports before handing us over a pin number at the counter.

We also were told by Patricia and Yolande in the sales office, definitely, most positively June completion for phases 1 -  3.

We're also just back from visiting CDP. Patricia in the sales office said our property  (Phase 3) would be available for completion in 30 days, and we would be able to snag the property in 2 weeks.She said the licence of first occupation had been applied for and they didn't expect it to take longer than 1 month to approve

Our solicitor thought June was realistic.

We managed to get Furniture, Electrical goods and air conditioning ordered while in Spain but believe a late June completion is more realistic assuming there are no major problems found during snagging. Only time will tell.

Agree with Mojito about build quality in the showhouse, we thought security was particularly good with doors, grilles and shutters.

Also pushed for compensation but to no avail.

Hi

We are phase one and hope to go out to snag soon but don't want to go out and find there is no water to test toilet flushing, sinks, shower and bathe draining properly.

I suppose we will have to test on builders water if habitation licence isn't through and hope there are no risks here. What does anyone think ?
