Does anyone know if the first occupants are going to get whacked with full fees?  Given that their are lots of services not ready until end 2008 even 2009 it seems rather cheeky to ask us for the full amount???  Perhaps anyone who has bought on the other resorts too can answer this?  Thanks.

Good question - as we are completing in the first week of completions (on 3rd June), I don't fancy the idea of paying the full community charge from that date when there will hardly be any services available.   However, please see paragraph below concerning the Community Charge which is taken from the completion documentation received from Polaris:

  COMMUNITY OF PROPERTY OWNERS

You can also find attached a form (Doc 3) for you to complete and sign so that the Community of Property Owners can charge you with the Community fees by direct debiting your account. Please, indicate the name of the account holder as well as the account number where you would like to be charged these periodical quotas, although you will not be charged with any quota until the Community of Property Owners is set up. You will be notified when this happens. We remind you to bring it to the Notary´s office at the completion.

Not sure how others will interpret this, but I take it to mean that we will not be liable for any Community Charge until the "Community of Property Owners" is set up - although there is no indication as to when that will be.  The other point is that they do not give any indication within the completion documents as to how much the community charge will be.  It may be that the charge cannot be set until the Property Owners Community is set up and the charge has been agreed by them.

Does anyone have any idea how it worked at La Torre?

Debbie
