Hi again,
Just some clarification for A.H owners. I spoke at length with Dave B (this Wednesday) who ran me through the work our contracted gardeners have been undertaking and which has led to the issue with our V.P. When I was last out a couple of weeks ago, I saw that landscaping work had been completed to the embankment side of the lawned area on the lower level of A.H. This has covered in the mess that pre-existed, where kids had been using the embankment as a short cut to the path (so the grass was constantly trampled etc).
Additionally 2 other areas of the lawn have been re-seeded.
The work has vastly improved the look of this area and I for one welcome the work given the very rewarding aesthetic results.
The other works relates to improvements around the lawn area by the pool, where it meets the second embankment of the large feature rocks. It was discovered that the salt content of the rocks was killing off the grass. A trench has been dug and filled with material to filter off the salted water, which transits through these rocks onto the grass (after it rains etc) and thus this should protect the lawn in future.
Again I cannot see why this is a problem - nobody wants to sun bathe in a deadened patch of grass and certainly is does nothing to enhance the appearance of the pool area.
Yes I am a pal of Dave B and I fully support him on his initiative to get this work done but equally if I didn't agree with his actions I am blunt enough to say so, The V.P evidently is not as proactive as Dave in his commitment to A.H and now that I posses the detail (which I have seen for myself) I agree that as a community we should consider the V.P's position accordingly.
I thought it only right to highlight the background - the rest is for your good selves to determine!
The best of wishes,
Dave
