I've just been reading the thread Sat Television and noticed that someone mentioned about the Spa being closed at the moment?

Does anyone know if this is correct?

Jayne this thread has started because one poster mis -read a post ,in which some-one described the Spa as an expensive drain on the community and brought that into the debate.This is the problem with forums like this mis-information

Thanks for your reply , Noreen sent me a message to say she thinks it is the 31st May , which I had read in Monicas report to do the work required on pump room. I was confused by a thread put on forum and thought that they had closed it for the summer and as we are going out on Sunday with friends just wanted to know waht to expect.

I didn't misread a post and it wasn't saying that the spa was a drain on the community.  The actual wording in the thread was:

"I think the spa closing down should be a major issue for people who want to enjoy thallos at the moment"

so there was no mis-information as far as I'm aware.

I would like to thank Noreen who has brought me up to date with what is going on.  I'm also grateful to the person who originally wrote the above comments as this has led to us being aware of the planned  work.

Nuflow7  I feel that you have perhaps  made a mistake ,the statement was on another thread,and made by another poster,the fact that you started this thread added to the confusion and my effort was to correct it and prevent further problems ,because Jayne with family and friends where on their way to Thalassa and believed the Spa to be closed.

The planned work is all in the Presidenta's report and a copy was sent out to all the Rampton 100 and a request was put out for others to Pm if they needed a copy.

The report is confidential to the community and should I believe not be on the open forum,but if you want a copy join the Rampton 100 or PM  Noreen. I will also be prepared to help if required.

I believe also that a website is being set -up for giving out information to the community.

It seems a shame that residents are having to join so many different forums etc to learn about the community - I would question what exactly are we paying Seasun for? Surely they should be advising residents about unscheduled closures etc (I also see that not all residents have been contacted by them and asked for  their preferred date of the next meeting - we received this a couple of weeks ago and some of the dates were actually in the next couple of weeks)

We too are going out to thalassa in the next couple of days so that's why I was concerned about the spa
