My point is, given the choice of a BG or a discount, you would be crazy to accept a discount!
I know that banks will not give BG's on illegal properties....retrospectively! We were assured by our lawyer that we would have one. Infact only after the developer had to put up millions of euros into the bank did we (thankfully) get a BG, 15 months after we paid our deposit...when we were told by our lawyer that no property would ever be built! Up until then, we had taken our Marbella based lawyers word that we did have one soon after they signed our PPcontract. I now know a great deal more about the Spanish judicial system...and how it (doesn't )work(s) !
I would be the last person to castigate somebody for trusting their lawyer when in fact they were being duped. Why wouldn't you trust a lawyer for heavens sake?
