Hi Monica,

I love Formentera it is a small Spanish village it is like going back in time. The children play in the square after school and cycle round the village with not a care in the world. How things used to be in the UK.

We have a two bedroomed two bath apartment opposite a small farm Roy is older then me and I did not want him to have to manage to many  stair's we did look round at a couple of town houses, but decided it was not a good idea. So it is a ground floor apartment which we love, but we only stay for 4 to 5 months a year.

I know of a a few couples that have moved to Quesada and they seem to love it there so that might be worth looking at. But I am sure Shaun will tell you all about the area's as has been said he has a lot knowledge.

Well good luck do you have somewhere to stay when you come out?  Shaun could probably help you on that as well.

Good Luck anyway hope all goes well.

Pat

Quesada seems to be a nice place, very English, you don't need to know Spanish to live there though it's nice to learn the language. I've already met quite a few of my neighbors to be though I'd been there for only a week. Hopefully the problem will be sorted out  &  my villa be completed on time for me to settle in there quickly.

Hi Monica. We've had a place in Almoradi for just over two years now and have loved every minute of it! There is a fairly small British community with a few bars, but in the main it is very Spanish. I have yet to find a local who speaks a word of English, but to a man they are all very friendly and welcoming. Our casa is part of a small community of ten, all of whom are Spanish except us! Two mins walk from the Spanish supermercado and a little Spanish bar just down the road - can't beat it. Also, an orange grove across the road where the farmer is quite happy for us to help ourselves to an orange or two when we want.

Can very highly recommend a local (English speaking) estate agent who we used for our purchase who was totally honest, reliable and helpful, Can PM details to you if you are interested.

Anyway, look forward to seeing you around Almoradi in the not too distant future.

Steve.
