De-seeding Pomegranates
The Comments |
Morning
Having just spent half an hour de-seeding two pomegranates, I wonder if any of you have a special EASY way to do the job?
I scored the skin and put them in warm water to soften the skin. I then peeled the skin and de-seeded but it is still time-consuming - the longest part is getting all the pith off the seeds.
So, if you have a sure-fire way of doing this, please let me know, ´cos I absolutely love pomegranates!!!

As per Jamie Oliver
cut the pomegranate in half, hold the cut side over a bowl and give the skinside several good wacks with a heavy spoon.
The seeds just fall out.
Hope it works for you.

Half the pomegranite. Take a dessert spoon and tap the rounded end into a bowl. It works . I have tried it!

The easiest way that i know of is to half the pomegranate. Then press the back (whilst holding the edges) to turn the halves inside out. Then the seeds just pop out.
Still messy and fiddly but worth it in the end,
Good Luck.
