Car Hire in Gibraltar?

 We are flying to Gibraltar this Summer (we normally fly to Malaga) for the first time.  Is it best to hire a car at the Airport or over on the Spanish side?  I want the least hassle (3 kids!) and like to get a car at the airport!  Is there a problem getting through - don't want to miss flight back due to the queues!!!!  Any advice much appreciated.

Use "do you spain" (on internet) and pick up across the border in Spain.  It only takes a minute to walk over than across the road a little way.  I don't think it is possible to hire in Gibraltar.

I have used Auriga many times, choose La Linea city office it is the same as Gibraltar airport office and just a few yards over the border on the Spanish side, about 100 metres on your right after crossing the pedestrian crossing.

Not aware of car hire in the airport but sure there will be some. 

When I was in Gibraltar, flied from Malaga airport and I booked with mitaxi . net in standard. (They also have premium and Minivan services for groups). 

It was cheap and confortable. One car and one driver only for me. 

Leslie,    I just  'googled'   car hire in Gibraltar,  there are several.

I would though check to ensure they are not Gib registered cars.  Driving in Spain I would always choose to drive a Spanish Reg vehicle. They don't show out so much.

Anyone check the dates on these posts?
